LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game will re-create the action, adventure and memorable moments of the Pirates of the Caribbean mythology in LEGO form, incorporating the humour of LEGO minifigures and fantastic worlds built from LEGO bricks. Players can take on the roles of more than 70 characters and experience the pirate adventures, irreverent humour and amazing creatures of the Pirates of the Caribbean films through action-adventure gameplay and hilariously quirky LEGO cut scenes. The Nintendo 3DS Pirate Duel mode allows players to cross swords with nearby Nintendo 3DS owners using the Street Pass feature. When an encounter with another Nintendo 3DS is initiated, Pirate Duel pits the players against each other in a battle where they will select from a series of attacks and blocks to be utilized by their LEGO pirates.

Well, at least the DLC characters are included.

This was a fun game, but flawed. There are 5 missing levels, missing characters from the films, and the games pace is a mess. Kind of left me feeling like the developers didn't put any real effort at all into this game. Major parts of the movies are skipped, and there's only four short levels a movie, and that's it. (You can finish this game in an hour or more.) The 3D effect's are spotty, and add no real sense of depth. In fact besides a slight screen flicker; you can't really tell if the 3d is on or off. There's really no difference at all. Bottom line: this and the ds version are just cash-ins. I'd give it a generous 7-10.

Review 2 for Lego Pirates of the Caribbean (Nintendo 3DS)
This game is very fun to play, but is very easy (if you like something slighter difficult try Lego Harry Potter yrs 5-7, it is also very fun). Like all lego games, finish all stages, then return in freeplay mode to collect items and coins to purchase characters and abilities (yes, this same formula has worked for me all over the years that lego games had been released!). The graphics are very good, if you own a 3DS console, go for this version, not the normal DS version (I've already played it, and the 3DS is much better).
