its a overall good computer. but there are pros and cons. (pro it is not a slow computer.) (con the plastic is very cheep.) (pro it had a webcam hdmi out and has a fairly larger screen,) (con it is only on windows 7.) (con if you drop it not meaning to some of the cheap plastic on the face will come off and not comepletley go back on.) (pro it still works if you drop it waist down.)

This laptop is great for the price and everything works fine. The only thing is that sometimes its a little slow but most of the time its fast. If you are looking for a laptop for normal everyday use then I think this should be the laptop you get.

im in total shock!!! ive bought 5 dells since the mid 90 s and they have all been bullet proof!! but this one is junk pure junk. 2 web cams a battery charger a keyboard plus multiple software issues ive spent countlees hrs on the phone with dell supportin only 6 months !! plus it seems dell doesnt care about customer loyalty ! im in total shock!!! i own 4 other dells they have all been bullet proof but this is junk i bought an hp yesterday

I have owned 4 pc's and 3 Laptops including this one. I have never had a problem starting one up and getting it running. All this Dell will do is Freez up. I haven't called Dell yet because of Holiday rush but I am Highly disappointed in this product. I will try to return it! I can not get it to set up.

I'm rather skeptical when purchasing a laptop at a below than average cost, you generally get what you pay for. Low in price, low in function and productivity. This Dell Inspiron 15R laptop is the exception to that rule. It is the best laptop I have ever owned so far. The Inspiron 15R has met and exceeded all my expectations when looking for a laptop that handles my everyday needs. You don't have to believe me or take my word for it. Buy one yourself and see what I mean. It is affordable and I highly recommend this laptop to anyone who is interested in purchasing a new laptop.

The laptop though was good but the K key was not functioning properly. It would type only after pressing very hard. Had to return this one. I have re ordered the same one again as the features are great at the price it is being offered. It is at least $60 less than any other merchant. Will provide update when the new one comes.

The Dell Inspiron is a great laptop. Plug & play everything, easy setup, prompt reminders to make a backup.
Walmart needs to improve their packing/shipping. When I took delivery of the box, it was so beat up that I thought there might be damage to the laptop. The box arrived broken and gaping, with what little packing material within it hanging out. I was suprised that the laptop was not damaged.

This laptop is a good overall value. However, I had to return it twice due to problems with the display (stuck pixels). I was surprised not to see any other review mention the same problem, leading me to believe I was very unlucky to encounter it twice. Now, the third laptop I received, after using it for a couple of weeks, hasn't shown any problems with the display (so far) or anything else for that matter (at this point, I've got my fingers and toes crossed while I knock on wood with my forehead). I did purchase the extended protection plan... just in case! Back to the value: For having an Intel Core i3 and 4 GB of RAM, I expected a bit more robust performance from it, but it's adequate. The 500 GB hard drive is a good size for a decent amount of storage space. Windows 7 64-bit runs smoothly, but I've had compatibility issues with older programs that are not available in 64-bit versions. It's got HDMI and VGA outputs, so I can connect the laptop to my HDTV, which is great. The design is sleek, so I always have one of the cooler-looking laptops at the local coffee shop (at least cooler-looking than the pricey ones with the half-bitten apple on them, in my not-so-humble opinion). Plus, they managed to squeeze in the number pad, which you don't see on a lot of laptops, without sacrificing the overall size and comfort of the keyboard (I actually didn't even know this laptop had a number pad until I received it, so that was a pleasant surprise). All in all, since Walmart has a relatively pain-free return policy in case you get one with stuck pixels like I did, or some other problem out of the box, I would recommend this laptop because it's a good value for your money.

Spent a long time looking for a budget machine for everyday use. This was by far the best deal I could find. Very little junkware from the OEM, and the little on there was easily removed. Pros: Fast, bright and clear screen, plenty of ports, wireless works well, full number pad next to key board. Cons: the case and keys feel a little flimsy under your hands, nothing has broke though.

I had purchased a Del Laptop in 1998 and it still works. This new Del is high quality and easy to adjust to the newer software. The Del technical support is an additional asset to my new experience and they have been so helpful with installing software and the needed Norton AntiVirus. Windows 7 is fantastic, the internet is speedy, the number pad was an unexpected feature which I appreciate because we do a lot of spreadsheeting. Ordering the computer from Walmart was a first time thing for me to accomplish. I did an online order on a Sunday and it was shipped to my home and arrived on Wednesday. Awesome.

I nver had a laptop befire and I needed for a game I couldn't play on any other CPU available. So I decided on the very popupar Dell. It is great for gaming, excellent webcam, and holds a lot of space. The only problems, though, is that there is just TOO MUCH fingerprint stains on the black cover, there are only 3 USB ports, AND FYI, THIS VERSION FROM WALMART DOESNT HAVE CHANGABLE LIDS.
