Seems to be an ok stick blender. But, brand new, right out of the box, my whisk will not stay in the back collar. It just falls right out into my drink. Too much trouble to return it, but the other piece, the blender, seems to work ok thus far.

I bought this stick blender from my local Walmart 6 months ago for use with craft projects like homemade soaps & lotions. At the time, I didn't really have a use for the whisk attachment but recently decided to give a go with whipping cream. The 2 speeds that this blender offers are very helpful to achieve the desired effect and in less than a minute, I had a bowl full of thick, fluffy whipped cream that rivaled what my Kitchenaid stand mixer can achieve. I was both surprised and quite happy with the outcome. And, it's so much faster to put together than even my hand mixer with beaters. The metal shaft is great for use in hot mixtures and is more durable than the plastic models out there. For the price, you can't go wrong. Highly reccommended.

I was a bit nervous when i purchased this because of the bad reviews it had. Iva used it a few times before i posted my review. this works GREAT! i have made a smoothie in a plastic glass with milk and banana or milk and strawberries and it came out GREAT! This am i tried frozen strawberris with milk (i did let the straberries sit in the milk for like 3min while i ran to the bathroom because i was a tad bit nervous about the frozen part) long story short.....it turned out GREAT! no probs. i used it to puree a broc and cheese soup and again GREAT! Its a great product and totally worth my 20 bux! :) oh and i used the whisk part for a cake and again great! and the cleaning part is a piece of cake!!

the product lacks a couple of simple features.
1) like ridges or grooves or grips on the plastic housing of the attachments. if your hands are wet, then forget about trying to attach or remove that attachments. there are no grooves on it and if your hands are wet, then its impossible to grab and turn the attachment - even with a rag or towel.
2) also turning i/ screwing on the attachments is not easily determined. in otherwords, you can't tell if the attachment is securely in place on the motor housing. there is no clicking, snapping or something to let you know if the attachment is secure to the motor. so if you the hulk, it is very possible to over turn the attachment and break it. or if your little miss muffet, the attachment will not be screwed on all the way.
3) the low speed and high speed don't seem to be too different from each other. blending liquids with either one produces the same results and sounds and feel. so i'm not sure if the secondary button is truly a low speed or maybe its low gear for thicker liquids. (who knows..)
in conclusion, i bought this out of convenience. its unclear how long the attachments will actually last, since its my experience that these motors outlast attachments and replacements are discontinued - conveniently.

Very easy to use for mashed potatoes / cake mixes etc. Simple to clean. The blender attachment is used every day by my parents for shakes with fruit and ice. We've experienced no issues with the buttons, weight, or attachment security as described by other reviews. The noise isn't different from any other blender, and probably quieter than most. The blender attachment doesn't fit inside cups that narrow at the bottom - we've been using tall coffee mugs - may want to purchase a wide metal cup for blending simple shakes, etc.

I had one of many years ago and used it for many years raising grandchildren. Now it's just me and hubby and it still comes in handy for our tomato sauces or gravies. It's one of my favorite tools in the kitchen. Worth every penny.

I bought this blender with high hopes and was immediately disappointed. The attachments do not lock in place and I had to hold the blender attachment on with one hand while holding down the power button with the other. During the blending process, the blade attachment STILL came off several times, causing me to make a huge mess everywhere. I was just trying to simply blend cooked broccoli in chicken broth and after 3+ minutes of fighting with the thing to keep the attachment on, there were still big pieces left. To make matters worse, the broccoli was extremely soft. I could have done better with a fork!!!!!

I am loving this blender. The main reason I bought this was because a soup recipe called for one. Now I have used it every day, even twice a day! It blended my soup better than I wanted and with so much ease. I have then used it everday since, making fruit smoothies. It says not to be used on ice but works amazing on frozen fruit! It literally takes one minute to blend up a smoothie and the best part is you can do it right in the cup making clean up a breeze! Only one thing to wash! I have had this only two weeks but have had zero issues and am so excited to use the whisk tool this holiday season. No need to spend tons of money on a fancy one when this does the job so well.
