I don't like the hassle of gas trimmers or the short battery life of rechargeable trimmers. This trimmer certainly met my needs and expectations. I bought 2 of them. One for me and one for my daughter's yard. I used site to store purchase method. I picked up same date of my order and was able to save $20 off of the in store price by using this purchase method.

This weed eater is very powerful, we had a lot of weeds that were very high. I am surprised on how well it did. The only thing that was a down fall was it only came with one spool of line, and we went through it in 2 days of weed eating. Also I wish it came with a extension cord, we had to use three to get around our small yard. But other than that I very much recommend this to anyone in need!

This was a site to store purchase. When I picked this up at the store, I was a bit upset at the condition the box was in. The box was crushed and several holes were punched into the box.
When I opened the box, there was some damage to the trimmer. Mostly scratches and nicks, nothing that would impair the use of the trimmer.
This is the third site to store purchase I have made , with issues on every order. I would not recomend any purchases made this way.

I owned a B&D HG 400 (4.3 Amps) for many years and it serve me well, until the small plastic part that triggered the auto-feed became nonoperational. At first, I was skeptical about the low price of the HG 6010, but the workhorse I've used for years only had 4.3 Amps, so this new and improved HG 6010 has been terrific. Extremely easy to use and very dependable. Cannot give it 5 stars since it's electric and not suited for professional use, other than that, it's a big winner!

I wanted to leave a review, because the ppl reviews was what made me chose this product, so I guess I could help someone else. This is a very powerful trimmer, I don't have to pass over and over the same place to get the job done. FYI wear long thick pants and shoes when you use it, I didn't wear the proper clothing and I hurt my legs... so you can imagine that it is doing the job.

I have used this twice since purchasing it. It does the job with no problem. Becomes heavy rather quickly but that may just be because I am out of shape! Be sure you wear googles when using it-debris will fly all over you from head to toe.

I bought this almost a year ago, I saw it got such great reviews so I decided to give it a try instead of a gas powered one....this trimmer is worthless, unless your entire yard can be done in <15min. I charged the batteries as the instructions said to but even with a full charge it won't even do 1/2 my front yard. My yard isn't even that big but it takes me days to do it all because the battery runs out in about 15-20min with a full charge, then it won't cut anything, just push it down. Then I have to take the time to change batteries, wait 8 or more hours for the other one to fully charge....and about 3-4 days later or more I can finish the yard. I don't see how this got such great reviews. I am going to get a gas powered one so I can actually finish my yard in 1 go. It is not worth the hassle of short battery life and looooooong charging time. Just get a gas powered one, it will end up cheaper when you compare 1/2 a tank of gas to the electricity it takes to charge these batteries.

I bought this for my annual spring cleaning in my large yard. It worked great for the first year, though it was a bit slow to cut through the larger weeds with thick trunks. When I brought it out the next year to clean out the winter growth of weeds and dense grass, it would not switch on. I persisted and it finally switched on, but when I was in the middle of doing the yard, the switch died. Despite my insistent encouragement, it simply would not come to life again for me. I had unfortunately lost my receipt, so I was not able to get economic satisfaction. I am a low-income person, so I am now stuck with having to groom my yard using a hand-held set of clippers; a task which is about to kill this elderly woman. If you can afford to gamble, go ahead and try this puppy. If not, seek another solution to your garden problems.

No expecting much for the price, but was surprised. I was a little dismayed because it only had one line and not two. But I was very happy with the automatic line feed that worked very well. I've only used it twice and it has worked well around my yard for edging and around the boulders and fences. I have used gas powered and am tired of pulling the cord, mixing gas, and all the trouble of trying to start one. I have spent a lot more money for an electric trimmer that only lasted one season. So far I like it, but must wait and see how it lasts.

Just purchased today so can't say alot. Just a heads up, it uses alot of cord so buy extra. Don't waste your money on the prespun B&D cord as you will quickly spend more on cord than the weed eater. The automatic feed is AWESOME. This coming from someone who has fought weed eater cord forever. Easy to use, worked great.

This weed eater was very short, causing me to have to bend over. My back was hurting when I finished. I am a 5'7 female. It was light weight, but seemed really cheap. I am taking it back and get a better model. My last B&D Grass Hog was amazing, not this one.
