I purchased this device to allow for recovery of data from drives of old machines, and expecially one that had taken a lightning/power hit. So far, it has done that job flawlessly. You will likely have to verify the drive type before purchasing one of these to be certain that your drive will connect up as necessary. If you do not understand the different drive types, you should get help from someone that does before proceeding with this purchase.

It says it's an enclosure for a case. There is nothing in the description about having a hard drive with this. If there was a hard drive it would tell you all about how many gigabytes it had and the specs. Good luck finding a hard drive for twenty five bucks!
