This is really a great desk, especially if you are a college student who is looking for a desk to do his homework and use the computer. It's really great but a little bit challenging to set it up. However, if you follow the directions step by step, then you will be fine. One thing though, make sure someone is helping you when you are lifting this thing. It is pretty heavy and can injure your back.

I was sceptical about buying this desk because of the cheap price, but i am very impressed with it. It looks great! and isn't cheap feeling. It's not wobbly or anything it's actually very sturdy. The only thing that wasnt great about it is that the drawer sticks when you open it and close it. It was fairly easy to put it together. It took me about 1 hour 30 min. (and im only 15). Looks great in little sisters room!!! (Sorry all the pictures are sideways, thats how they uploaded :/)

I ordered this desk last week because I saw something similar at ikea for 89$ and this was less. I shipped it to home and was worried that it may arrive damaged. But to my surprise it actually came perfect! No scratches or dents or cracked boards. It only took 3 days to get to my house. I decided to put it together that night. Took me maybe 2 hours. The directions are very easy to understand compared to some other ones i've read. You do need a second person to help. But overall I did it almost alone with just alittle help holding a board up so I could screw in a nail. The desk is perfect for what I want. Its small but great for a laptop. All I needed was something to keep my laptop on. It works great as a laptop desk with some extra space for a printer and some shelves for other things. I love it. It looks great, its sturdy and it was cheap.

After we got this desk my husband and I put the desk together. It was easy to put together as well as read the instructions. The desk is not that big but works and looks very nice. I would recommend this desk to everyone.

Bought the Mainstays Black Student Desk for my 17 yo daughter. Needed something not too expensive, with a small footprint. This worked perfectly. Easy to put together, instructions were clear and effective; she put most of it together herself, just needing help with a few steps.

I had gotten this desk for my daughters room and initially had it shipped to my home. That one arrived cracked in half and had to be returned to Walmart. I used Ship to store for the next one.
PROS:
* adult height desk
* doesn't overwhelm a room
* adjustable shelf
* lowest price around
CONS:
* the board has irregular pre-drilled holes if at all.
* without better pre-drilled holes, should your screw go in at the wrong angle, the material will chip very easily.

Overall, it will suit it's purpose. I would have liked to maybe wood glue it as I went along. There were no left over parts or screws.
The box wasn't too big or too heavy, either. Can fit in a backseat and is around 60#.

I will never get this thing again, once its assembled, it's pretty small, much smaller than I imaged. But more than that, putting this thing together took two people and Serious blisters. They don't provide you with the tools you need *there are varying sizes of screws etc. * If you have a power drill, this should be no problem for you.. if you dont. DONT waste your money!!

Bought this as a first desk for my 9 year old and he loves it!
I'm a 32 year old female and it took us both just over an hour to put it together.
The directions were crazy easy to follow and I LOVED how they packaged all the screws and nails into packages that were clearly labeled.
All the pre-drilled holes lined up and if you follow the directions, they even tell you how to adjust the drawer to get it to fit perfectly!
It is made out of cheap pressboard-like material, but this is exactly what I expected and it still looks good in my son's room!
It is actually sturdier that I thought it would be considering the cheap materials and it is holding up well for my son's use.

This desk is very sturdy, easy to put together, and looks amazing! In the begining i was very hestitant if i should buy this product because of its low pricing. The only minor problem i had was the desk drawer were a little difficult to put together,in my opinion. Overall this desk went beyond my expectations and I deffintly recomend this desk for anyone that needs an average sized, pretty desk.

The desk has a very unique design. I have enough space for my monitor and printer on the desk, and it is pretty full. The tower doesn't fit in the desk though. There was also no drawer for the keyboard and mouse, so they have to be placed on the desk too. The price is definitely worth getting the desk for.
