usb input is nice feature for viewing pictures from camera...however it will not work with all cameras- works on my pentax but not on my sony... sound volume is not capable of being very loud if that's a concern...no user manual is included-you must download from internet

I purchased this Toshiba 26" TV to replace my twenty-one-year-old 19” set, which works fine, but it isn’t compatible with the DVR/VCR that I bought some months ago. Being cost-conscious, I didn’t rush into buying a new TV. Instead, I did considerable online shopping at several sites, and read many product reviews there.
A couple of reviewers mentioned problems with the closed caption feature. In the month since I bought it, I have not experienced that problem.
The 26” set is right for the small living room in my one-bedroom apartment. I actually gained about an inch in picture height, compared with my old set. The sound is good, and the price was definitely a factor in my decision to buy.
The hardest step in replacing my old TV with the new Toshiba was when I had to pick up the old set and carry it out of the living room.

I bought this to replace an older TV for my office. It is just perfect! I easily set it up myself, and I'm not handy at all. This TV exceeded my expectations for the price that I paid. The picture is excellent, as well as the sound. One thing I like is that when the TV is muted, the closed captioning tells you what is being said. I often have to mute the TV in my office when I'm on the phone, and I love this feature. I highly recommend this TV.

I finally found this TV after first buying a Sanyo and Vizio and returning them both. I could never get the color right on either of those TVs, especially the Vizio. This Toshiba finally matches the picture I've gotten used to from my 46" Sharp. I was surprised how hard it was to find a good TV in this size - apparently the majority of the major TV brands (Samsung, Sony, Sharp) do not make 26" TVs anymore. I don't know why they're abandoning this size as it's perfect for a bedroom.
Bottom line - if you're wanting bright vivid color in a 26" TV this is the one for you. My only minor complaint is the little color fade to blue at the bottom of the housing looks straight out of the 80's - but I don't notice it when it's on because my eyes are glued to the screen.

I purchased this TV for vacation trailer because I use same TV for almost 2 years at my home. Never had any problems, and my husband, who has a hearing deficit, does not complain about volume insufficiency :-) Picture quality is good.

Early days yet is the only reason for the 4 rating on features as I am still becoming familiar with the TV. The picture quality is excellent and the sound quality for the area it is used is perfectly satisfactory. Having another Toshiba TV in the house for several years, prior experience indicates this purchase will also be a positive experience.

The mute button is awful

I would have given this tv 5 stars, however, my biggest grip is the mute button. When you use the mute button the closed caption automatically turns on no matter how many times you turn it off. I'm not sure, if I had known this, I would have purchased this tv. Otherwise everything else is great but that is real annoying when ads come on and you can't mute but have to turn it down.

I've only had this TV for about two weeks, but it was simple to setup and the picture is fantastic for the money. Also the sound on this TV is exceptional for the price. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Toshiba Television in the future. I also love Walmarts site to store. FANTASTIC!

I THOUGHT IT WAS A GREAT TV, but boy was I wrong!

After only 3 weeks use, the remote stopped working and would no longer change channels. So I boxed it up and returned it to my local Walmart, where I bought a Sanyo 26" TV because it was the only 26" TV they had in stock. Sad thing is, the Sanyo isn't even in the same league as the Toshiba. I LOVED this TV up until I had issues with it. I would have bought another Toshiba 26" TV if they had one in stock, hoping that the first one was just a fluke. But they didn't have one and I didn't feel like waiting another two weeks for site to store.

I chose this brand, Toshiba, because my old tv which was also a Toshiba lasted for 25 years. It was very reliable and trouble-free. The new one was easy to set up and has terrific picture and sound. I've only had it a month, but so far it's been a great value: when shopping I saw many comparable models that cost a lot more.

I got this TV at a great deal (I shopped around online quite a bit, and Wal-Mart's price was far lower than other retailers). I expected to find a nice TV for our guest room, and I feel we got far more than we expected.
The picture is very good (we're spoiled by HD on our other TVs, but this is still quite clear for not providing a high def picture), the overall appearance of the set is quite nice, and the feature set is very impressive. You can customize the picture (contrast, color settings, etc.) to quite specific levels, the sound settings are sophisticated for a TV at this price point, and all of the standard sleep timer, etc. type features are available. The menu is very intuitive, as is the remote. All in all an excellent value for the money.
