After reading the many positive reviews we went to our local Walmart store to see this recliner for ourselves. We were shocked at the look, feel and size of the recliner--huge. As a result, we purchased this chair for our 88 years young mom, for Mother's Day. Just today, she smiled and said, "this chair is so soft, I love it. Followed by, I don't know who designed this recliner, but they did a great job!”
We would recommend this recliner to everyone. You might purchase another recliner from a high-end store, and pay more, but we believe this product is a great buy considering the look, feel, comfort, ease of assembly, and the price ($249). Amazing! Way to go Walmart! Thank you, and our mom thanks you.

I purchased this chair in store. I needed a rocking recliner for when I have my baby. I also wanted something I could sleep in at night since I was getting to the final months where it is uncomfortable to sleep in the bed. I was really excited to get the chair. It was a good price and the recliner looks like good quality. I had been looking for a leather recliner...something I could just wipe down...but they were so expensive in the furniture stores around here.
Anyway, I got the recliner home which fit in the back of my Infiniti crossover vehicle once we took it out of the box. Very easy to put together (less than 5 min). I'm 5'7" and it just feels uncomfortable to me. It's very difficult to recline all the way back because you have to apply pressure with your body to keep it back. The arm rest set very low which is uncomfortable. Not very good lower back support either. I tried sleeping in the chair the first night I purchased it and woke up with my back throbbing. Even my daughter who is 5'4" finds it uncomfortable.
Please consider my review before purchasing the chair. Now I have to get it back in my vehicle to return it. $250 is a lot to lose on something you are not happy with. I just have to keep looking and hope I find something before the baby comes.
No wonder they have the chair up on a shelf so you can't try it out. Had I been able to I would not have purchased it.

Side lever hard to operate.

I bought this for my 92-year-old cousin and was displeased to learn that she could not close it on her own. The lever is also set very low. I sat on it and found that I, too, was having the same problem until I found that, besides the side lever, you need to also use your leg muscles to close it. So I would not recommend this chair for the elderly.
The chair is quite large, so make sure you have the space. I suppose, other than the problem mentioned above, it's a good chair for the price. And as others have mentioned, it is a dark brown, and not the color shown in the photo.

I searched for several weeks online and off line looking at prices and quality for a BIG mans recliner. After reading the reviews on this recliner I took my chance and purchased 2 of them. After picking them up at my local Walmart and getting them home, It took me only 10 minutes to put them together but took me twice as long to remove them from their tightly and well padded packaging. The recliners are rockers and needs to sit at least 1 foot to 1 foot and a half from the wall for completely reclining. The measurement of height of back from floor is 41 inches.. sitting area of seat is approx. 18.5 to 19 inches with wide padded arms. The total length of reclining to full recline (from head to feet) is 5 foot 5 inches. My husband is 6 foot and weighs 250 and he fits comfortably in this chair. The arms are softly padded.. sitting area, lower back and upper back has more firmness.. The mid back and head area is softly padded. Quality of material and color I am very pleased with. I do notice that when I move the recliners I grab the padded areas and pushing and pulling, that I need to stop..Overall I am very pleased.

I purchased this chair for my husband to help keep him comfortable during his cancer recovery. I checked the prices on-line for recliners and did not want to pay the price nor pay for shipping. This recliner, was also featured on-line at a higher price. I checked Walmart's web site and I decided to purchase it from them. I went to Walmart to grocery shop but noticed only one chair in the box. I decided not to shop at that time since only one chair was displayed. It fit in my Aviator SUV in the box; so if your SUV is that size it will fit with no problem. My son put the two pieces together in less than 3 minutes. My husband loves the chair, and stated it was very comfortable and I am very pleased with the quality and price.

We bought this chair less than a week ago. My husband bought it for me (im pregnant) and I LOVE it! it is wide and plush. Im not a small woman either. Im 5'9 and my husband is 6 foot tall and we both fit very well in it. His feet hang over the edge but he likes it that way. My feet dont touch the floor when im sitting all the way back. The only thing that stinks is that we have to have a pillow to put in the lower back part of it if we are sleeping in it or sitting in it for a long time. But over all its amazing. It took him 2 min to put together (there are only 2 parts, not tools needed). Its great for what it costs. And the faux leather looks great. I dont think it looks cheap at all.

This was delivered promptly and without incident. I have a bad back and COPD yet was able to assemble the chair quite easily. I have wood floors so sliding it around on a carpet might be harder for someone else with my abilities. I am 5'8" and not slim and this chair fits my frame well. I've already spilled things on it and they've wiped right off. The reclining part works smoothly and provides good back support.

I was very unhappy with the delivery. My daughter and I are handicapped. Shipper gave my daughter slip to sign. He then left the package at the front gate. Shipper should deliver inside front door. The charge for shipping is too much. There are no accomodations for getting a large chair in the house. Shipping should be included since package can not fit into a van.
Very disappointed. Handle very difficult to use when trying to get the chair into an up right position.

Got this as a surprise just because gift for my hubby. Transport home in mini van and into the house with our 21 year old son was piece of cake. Assembly easy and quick!! Have had this chair for 2 months. Husband in it every night and kids in it when he is not. Looks like real leather even though it is not. No one will ever know! Very comfortable....beyond expectations. This is a wonderful chair and you absolutely can not beat the price....even at full price the deal is significant on this one!

We bought this chair as a gift for my parents for Christmas. After reading the reviews, we felt confident this would be a great chair. While it looks nice and is very comfortable to sit in, there is absolutely no neck support. The chair is positioned back too far. To compare I would say it is like sitting in an adirondack chair. So to sit up and have a conversation or to watch television, your neck is in a very forward awkward position. My parents just put a pillow behind their head and lower back everytime they sat in the chair.
So today, 1 month after our purchase the chair is completely broken. The inside is made of particle board which broke on one side where the bolt was attached in the seat area. What a waste of $250.00 and how embarrassing that our Christmas gift was such a let down.

The recliner is nice and large, very easy to assemble and set up. It is very comfortable if it holds up. It is taking my little dog a bit longer to get used to it than me. Pick up at the store was great and the Walmart associates were very helpful with the purchase and loading. Very pleased with the purchase and the service.

I bought this chair as a quick replacement for my recliner that had just died a few days before. It was almost time for all of the BOWL GAMES and my husband (and I) needed a recliner chair and we were very surprised how great the chair looks and how comfortable it is to sit, recline and rock in. Altough it is not real leather, it is a very soft and good looking chair. I did not have a truck to bring it home in since I had it sent to Site-To-Store, but the guys took it out of the box when they helped me get it to my car and it was in just 2 pieces that fit in my trunk and backseat nicely. It was easy to put together after we got it home.

This chair is easy to assemble with only one person. The color is a very deep rich dark brown, which fits perfectly with the rest of the furniture. The only flaw that I have noticed with this chair is that the arm rests are not very tall. The chair overall is very comfortable and a great deal for the price that I paid.
