Mainstays Mainstays Folding Crate, Black, Set of 2
Put an end to your storage woes with the Mainstays Folding Crate. Made of plastic, this crate is collapsible, which allows easy storage. Also, the black crate is stackable, which gives you the freedom to make the best of available space. These crates can nest when not in use. You can also use this lightweight crate to your cars boot to keep your grocery bags or other things and prevent them from rolling around the boot while you drive. It comes in a set of two and has a solid construction that makes it more durable.

I haven't had these long enough to say how they hold up but they seem sturdy enough. They fold flat and go together very easily when using as a crate. I got two of them for my RV overhead bunk to store things so they don't slide around.
I gave 4 stars overall since I've not had time to evaluate over time.

Since these our foldable crates you have to be sure to lock the sides in place. Do not over load the crates. We have similar crates that we have been using for over 15 years. We look forward to using these crates for many years to come.

Had 2 bought a couple of years ago and one of them broke. Did not have in store but decided to order. Glad I did. LOVE Walmart site to store. Keeps me from running around trying to find a product. We use them all the time. They stay in my van - we put our purchases from Walmart in them - use them when we go to the condo in th Smokies - great for carrying grocery items from the house in. Couldn't do without them.

I bought this folding crate to put on the back of my bike. (see bikehacks(dot)com) It's the perfect size for my briefcase. A few drill holes and zip ties and it's on my rack. When it's not in use, it collapses nicely.
I bought from WalMart because it was half the price of anywhere else.

If you have never used a folding crate, I highly recommend it. They are so convenient for hauling things no matter where you are going, as once they are emptied, you just fold them flat to store and reuse them the next time you need to haul something. We go up north many weekends starting in May through Sept. and they are what I use to haul all my food, crockpots, lotions, etc. Whenever I have to go to a pot luck dinner, they work great for hauling the crock pot full of food, as I don't have to worry about anything spilling or splashing over into my trunk.

This were made very cheaply. I had to return them since one came broken. They were packed fine so I have no idea why it was broken. Would not recommend them at all. We had bought folding crates many years ago and they were so sturdy we still have them. But these were no where near the quality. I would have paid more for stronger crates. What good are they if they break so easily.On line said they were available in the store but went to 2 Walmarts and they had none.

We keep these in the trunks of our cars; this purchase was to buy more for a 2nd car. Very handy for groceries and for keeping things from sliding around when driving. 4 of them fit perfectly accross the trunk of our mid-sized sedan, leaving room behind them for other items if necessary. I don't think I'd use them to lift very heavy items, but they are sturdy enough to carry in the average load. The fact that they fold flat is a plus so we can make room to carry large items in the trunk when necessary.
