This trolling motor is exactly what is advertised. It was fairly easy to assemble alone however it would have been a much quicker and easier process with help. Operates smooth and very quiet. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

it has variable speed control with maxamizer, which was what i wanted. product info was confusing, one place it said 5 speed, which is not as good, and another place it implied it was variable. i was delighted at what i got works beautifully and i'm very pleased with it
