Im a first time mother and used this pump for about 1month before i had to switch to formula. The motor was pretty quiet suprisingly and i hardly noticed it when pumping. It was painless and i could easily forget about it. It was nice also being double electric to do both sides at once, especially when i had to exclusivly pump for a short period of time.
The only negitive aspect of this was that i felt i had to stop and reposition the pump at least once during a pump session because it would stop drawing out milk. Now i dont know if that is my fault or the pumps but it would pump untill there was nothing left and then when i repositioned it, suddently i had way more milk left.
Overall i think its great buy for the money! And will be using it on my next baby as well =)

I bought this pump online. It worked beautifully the first month I had it, in fact I had like 30 bags of milk stocked up in my freezer with about 4-5 oz. By the time I had to go back to work, I wasn't able to get as much out ( 1-2 1/2 oz#. It also started clicking on the higher sucktion setting. I called the Avent Tech support and they told me that I need to replace all of the silicone parts every 3-4 months because they wear over time. So now I'm waiting on parts. The first set of parts are covered under the warranty, but I have to pay for the next set. It was quiet the first month, but now, if I'm pumping at home, I can't pump in the bedroom because it will wake the baby. The carrying bag is nice, but it doesn't fit everything in there when the parts are assembled #as I like to do so they are ready to go).

This is a great pump but it broke after 2 1/2 months. I exclusively pump and don't breastfeed so I am probably using this more than the average person. After it broke I was in a bind and bought another brand name. I didn't like it and ended up returning it. So now I am buying another Philips AVENT Electric Breast Pump. The suction is very adjustable. After having 4 kids I kind of need a very strong suction and this pump has it.
The downside of this pump is that it broke and it has many things to wash. Also the bottles that came with it leaked. I don't know if I didn't properly put the top on correctly or what but I ended up using different bottles.

When I initially received this product it worked great, but only three times! On the fourth attempt the motor just quit working and no suction was available. Because they don't have this in store I returned it and bought another one elsewhere. This one has been working well for the past week but the motor will stop suction to the first breast pump on occasion. When it does I turn the pump off, pull out all of the plugs and put them back in. It works after that. This pump has great suction and is very comfortable, even when I get the small blisters from my baby. I love the Avent products. One downfall is the 9oz bottles don't fit in the white holders to keep it steady, but you can still pump in to the 9oz bottles, which is great!

I would highly recommend this product to anyone who doesn't want to shell out the money for a hospital-grade pump but still wants a good quality product. I started out with an Avent Manual pump because I wasn't going back to work for awhile and the 5-petal shields sounded the most comfortable. I love them, and that's one of the features that made me want to choose this brand again when I bought an electric.
Now I'm back at work, and this pump is perfect! I just go into the office, plug in, put the suction/handle on both of the necks and I'm ready to go. I always keep the other parts assembled ( I know some people have complained that it's a lot of parts, but I had the manual before, so I was used to it). I keep them in a ziploc bag and then wash quickly when I'm done and reassemble so it's ready for the next pumping.
It's quiet, it comes in a great black carrying case, the suction is better than my manual while still being comfortable, I can pump about 4-5oz in 10 minutes or less, and then there are the stands that allow me to put one down while adjusting the other one, or when I'm finished while I detach the suction handles. As long as I snap them in, it doesn't tip over, which is very helpful because the units are unbalanced, especially while the handle is still attached.
I've only been using this for about 3 weeks now, but I love it and I think anyone in my position would also love this pump!

I purchased this product about a month before I gave birth to my son. I took it out and started using it after we came home from the hospital. It worked great, was easy to use, and was fairly comfortable. Unfortunately about after a week the pump light was flashing red and no longer pumping. I referred to the troubleshooting section of the manual and found that this indicated there was an issue with the control line. Basically the pump was broken and the only thing to do was replace it. I had to buy a cheap manual pump in the mean-time and found I liked it just as much and the price was definitely better so I just got a refund. I was very disappointed that the pump broke down so quickly.

Very useful for working mom. We pump and store milk in freezer. It pumps fast too and you can set the rhythm- how fast or slow or how strong you want. Comes with the bag and cover for pump.

I was surprised this broke with the rave reviews but not after seeing it, too complex. I like the idea of the let down but the rest seems unnecessary. I suggest getting the Lasinoh affinity and save $100 bucks. It allows you to adjust speed and suction with simple up and down buttons and the let down also is just a simple button the avent doesn't offer this. Also the milk gets stuck in the nipple shield its a mess! One more thing its heavy! The Lasinoh pump is light as a feather and does the same level of pumping. This is an over thought to a simple process.

I like this pump. It may not be a Medela but it gets the job done!. The one thing that I don't care for is that the bottles/cups do not stand up in the lil cup holders. They always fall over. So i just hold the suctions cups up to my breast while I pump. I like how you can set the speed of the suctions & the pull of the suction on your nipple. Overall its a good product for the price!

I chose this pump after doing quite a bit of reserach and have been very happy with this it. I was a little hesitant at first with all of the parts, but once you get it figured out, the parts are not that intimidating. I had my baby in May and started pumping a couple of weeks after his birth. The pump worked very well for about a month and a half and then it stopped pumping at full capacity. Not sure what happened to the motor but I called customer service to see about the warranty, which was still in effect. I expected to get the run around as you do with a lot of companies, but they were incredibly helpful, asked me what was wrong with the pump, and diagnosed a bad motor. They then replaced the pump at no charge to me, shipping or in any way. While the electric motor was on backorder, they sent me a manual pump in the meantime, also at no charge. I was able to keep all of the accessories from the replacement pump so then had duplicate equipment (with the exeption of the motor) and it's been really helpful.
The new motor is still working strong. The only drawback is this is not a hands free pump, otherwise I have been incredibly happy with the amount of milk it expresses in a short amount of time. I like the double pump feature as well as the nice carrying case that it comes in. Overall, a great product for the money.

New from the box my pump motor was burnt up! Philip's has done nothing, but offer to replace it a MONTH later....and possibly longer as they keep telling me it is back ordered every time it comes to the date it should be here. So as a mother whose nursing started off rough to begin with this was just my cherry on top. I can't believe how horrible their customer service department was....disappointed to say the very least!

This product works very well. It does tend to leak a little bit when used after taking it off of your breast but other than that it has no defects. Although, it was a little hard figuring out how to put it together because it doesn't come with any directions but once I figured it out I was good to go.

I got this pump as baby shower present off of my registry and had to return it only after less, than a week of use. While using this pump after 3 days it started to get a little louder and day 5 turned it on and it let out a huge screeching sound. I thought well maybe I got a defected one so went and got store credit and ordered another one. in the mean time I had to use a manual pump b/c the store in my town didn't carry these pumps. It took just a few days to get this pump in and the exact same thing happened to this one. Read some reviews else where anf the same thing has happened to other people and I guess is a problem with the gear in the motor slipping off. Would definately not recommend this pump!i could only receive store credit and Walmart doesn't carry the only other breast pump I've heard good things about so now I have to come out of pocket to order that $300 pump from somewhete else.

I have had the pump for about a month and so far and I love it. It is easy to use and clean. When I first got it I didn't realize when it said it was a manual pump also, that it meant manual but still electric. Thinking that it was suppose to convert to a manual non-electric, I called the company and told them I was missing the manual handle. They sent me the manual non-electric handle and the silicone pieces needed to convert it without question. The customer service was excellent. The woman even offered to go over how to work it with me.
