We are very happy with the bed. It was easy to put together. A few boards were not perfect as far as finish goes but we wanted to go ahead and put the bed together. It seems to be a pretty sturdy bed for the price. My son loves it.

The only complaint I have is that I paid for a new bed, full price, and I got a return. Although the bed was all there and in good condition, there were no instructions. I feel that I should have gotten a discount for getting a bed that was returned. I would not have accepted it but my son picked it up. Otherwise as far as the bed goes, it is what we expected and we are pleased now that it is together and there was no damage.

The thing I was most concerned with when looking for a loft bed was sturdiness and I am happy to report that this bed exceeded my expectations! I have my sons old twin mattress from ikea on it and it works great! Love the color too. It was fun and easy to put together.

A few minor blemishes/cracks in the wood but overall a solid wood loft. Easy to assemble (we glued the dowels for extra strength). Color is a dated medium brown so I'll be gel staining them java. Good buy overall and very pleased.

We purchsed this bed for my son. It came on a friday.. Saturday we went to put it together and none of the hardware was in the box. Tried to call customer service, they are off on the weekends. Called CS on Monday and told them the hardware wasn't in the box. The lady said they would ship it out, but it could take a week since it had to come from Canada and go through customs. So, on friday the bag came. Again, on Satuday, we went to put the bed together and only half of the hardware was in the bag. We spent 3 hours and almost 30$$ driving to 4 hardware stores to get the rest of what we needed. Get the bed built, but the guardrail posts were missing. So the bed doesn't have a guardrail. Then we went to build the steps and the step pieces are missing. My son is in tears over this bed. Where is the quality control???? Now we'll have to wait another week to get the rest of the pieces, hopefully !!

I bought this bed for my 12 year old and he absolutely loves it. The size was perfect and the underneath was spacious enough for his computer desk, bookcases and other stuff. I would recommend this bed for anyone with a teen and putting it together was easy although you needed at least 2 individuals.
TIP: Would purchase a bunky board with this for better underneath mattress protection.

This is my second bed. First I tried the white bed and the smell was so bad from the uncured paint, I had to get it out of the house and return it. I thought I got a bed from a bad batch, so I tried the walnut bed figuring they use pigmented water-based urethane spray. Well guess what, this one stinks too, but now like uncured urethane spray. My daughter has had to sleep on the floor of our room for 2 weeks because of these two beds. What the heck? Don't you guys (mfr in Vietnam) know how to accelerate the curing so the consumer doesn't have to uninhabit and vent the room for days until your product finish cures??? I've had wood floors that cure faster than this. Are you packing wet? Clearly you have accelerated your finish and packing process to meet demand and reduce cost, but you've gone too far. Once again, another night with a fan in the window, space heater on, and my daughter on our floor. Are you going to fix this problem, or what? I would love to recommend this bed, it went together just fine and looks good. I just wish we could actually use it without getting sick from the smell. My daughter was so excited to get it, but we can't even use it.

I bought the bed to try and make some more space in the kids bedroom and it really helped. All the parts went together nicely and the directions were easy to understand. The color of the bed is great and it does not look or feel cheap in any way. I went up on the bed and it is very sturdy. The box it comes in is really big length wise. You definately need a truck or SUV to take it home and you will need two people to carry it. A purchase I was definately happy with and would recommend to my friends/family.

This bed is awesome! My daughter loves it! I bought this as a Christmas present for my daughter who is 7. Unfortunately Santa forgot to put the assembly instructions in the box so it took exactly 4.5 hours to put together. There's no place online to find them. I looked for an hour on the net before I gave up and "winged it". I used a cordless drill with an allen head vs. the allen wrench which is tedious. Power tools always help. I'm 6 feet tall and with a 7" tall mattress, the top is just above eye level. It's sturdy and well constructed but I still bought some "L" brackets and attached them to the bottom of 3 legs which I then attached to the floor trim as a brace for a piece of mind more than anything. I don't think it would ever tip but kids can do just about anything so I added them for piece of mind. This bed Well worth the money and this bed is 100% solid pine. When I predrilled the bracket holes I got sap on the bit and it really is pine. I had enough room underneath to add a small table with a desktop PC on it for games and homework. Other places sell similar beds for $600+ This is well worth it.

It took my wife and I about 90 minutes to slowly put the bed together (it is a two person job). Three week later the bed is still strong and sturdy. My 10 yr old daughter just loves it.

As others have stated, this bed is of very nice quality and substance especially given the price. I wanted the Pottery Barn kids version of this bed but could not justify the $2000 for the number of years use. After reading the reviews we decided to try this bed from Walmart. My husband put the bed together in about 4 hours. It would go much faster with a partner. There were a couple of very minor finish flaws. My husband had to point them out to me, otherwise I would not have noticed them. Assembly instructions were easy to understand. I really like the color which is a rich brown. I would say slightly darker than the picture implies.

My 10 year old daughter loves this bed and so do I! It was fairly easy to put together (thank goodness my husband is handy with the tools), and it looks great in her room! The shipping time was way less than was expected, which was also a plus! As long as it holds up through quite a few of her years, up to this point, it was worth the buy!!! Looks like we will be getting her a desk to go underneath, next!!

Very happy with this purchase. I bought this for my 9 yr old son. He really wanted a loft bed, but I didn't want to pay a lot knowing he probably won't use it for very many years. Great construction, it was fairly easy for 2 people to put together, and it looks great. My son is thrilled!
