my mother bought this for my ipod and after managing to get it on the vent I couldn't get it off to use the vent. I had to take the holder part off of the clips making it a challenge to get it back on. one of the clips ended up breaking and another pieces broke that the ipod/phone sits on.
I'm upset she wasted her money!!!

Very cheaply made, will not mount in air vents and will not hold a 4.3 TomTom (said it would).
Check your GPS and if it has its own mounting system use it. DO NOT BUY!! Ended up taking it back. Two Thumbs Down

First off, these are really nice and easy to use. The reason I don't give them 5 star is because they will jiggle more so than a dash mounted system. But yes they clip on your vent, and yes it does come off but it takes both hands as you have to pull back a spring loaded clip and push the clip forward to clear the hooks in back. Now, if you shoved this thing into you vent without looking what you where doing, and it separated the air vents to get shoved in, or something of the like, then yes user carelessness may get you into trouble.

I bought this product to hold my cell phone in car. But once I plugged this into car vent, I can not take it out. The hooks on back hold vents so firmly that it is just not possible to take it off. I never expected this to happen. I don't want to damage my car vent, but I don't want the whole thing sticking there all the times as well because it blocks airways.
