Great alternative to expensive racks; good value.

Great alternative to much higher priced, name brand roof racks. The bike frame jaw is large to accomodate oversize frames and overall construction is VERY solid. I have three mounted on my roof and the bikes did not sway or come loose. The locking mechanism is not immpressive as it's a chamber that simply revolves when the key is inserted; serves the purpose but it would not take much at all to pry open. If thieft is a concern, I'd add a cable lock or go with a different brand. Mounting onto car rack is easy and wide brackets should fit most cars. I use mine for adult and kids (8-10) bikes as thier frames don't fit on the trunk racks, and I'm very pleased with the product.

Purchased and just received 2 of these racks.
The parts look sturdy but both sets are missing the nuts & bolts for installation.
