I have verizon fios. if I turn on the wireless on my imac, using the imacs wireless, my internet speeds are FAST. 29.68mbps download, upload is 20.30 mbps.
I got this dongle for a 6 yr old dell pc desktop running windows 7. speeds are not so great. download speeds are from 8 to 12mbps, upload only 4.39 mbps.
so Im not happy with the speeds of this thing. pretty slow.

I purchased this wireless usb dongle and tried to use it for about two weeks. It had problems staying connected to my wireless modem and the speed just wasn't as good as I expected. My average signal strength was about 65% and the modem was less than 25 feet away. The price is great but this product just didnt meet my needs. I will try a differnt product next time.

It works fantastic. I was looking to have a wireless connection for my computer as I have a great set up place for it but it wasn't near any of the cable outlets which after having dsl for so long and now to have comcast I am extremely pleased with the performance of all equipment and this always gets a great signal. Would recommend to others and probably would get another in the near future for a second computer that the family has. Totally worth the money

Easy to use, automatically detected in Windows 8. Sometimes need to use a USB extension cable to get it above the computer when a distance away from the router, but what do you expect from something the size of your fingernail? I have installed 8 of these for a variety of computers and have never had a failure in well over a year.

It randomly drops the connection and then won't re-connect without a reset of the computer... longest connection is about an hour to an hour and a half before having to reset computer...usually more frequent and shorter time frames. I am going to seek their assistance but out of the box ..it is not all that it claims to be. Bought 3. 2 installed.

This CNet pico USB dongle was so easy to setup, and works like a dream. I bought this item to get an old dinosaur of a computer on our wifi, and I am not disappointed. The speed is great and it was nice not having to open up the computer case and install a pci card to the motherboard.

Nano USB takes up no room (except the port, of course). The included disc made it truly plug and play. Can't believe how cheap and easy it was to free my old desktop from the ethernet cable. I already have a wireless router for our family laptops, so nothing else was needed. Very happy with my purchase.

Installed w/out issue,however, it would not connect above 15kbps, it was slower than dial up. Uninstalled,reinstalled multiple times and had the exact problem.. Immediately returned it,bought a different one and it connects at 100kbps or more.. Avoid this.

I figured a CNET product would be a great, however, I was sorely disappointed. The driver installed with no problem but after an hour of mucking around with it, I gave up and returned it. I purchased a Netgear Adapter to replace it and while twice the money, I was online and with a strong signal as soon as the driver was installed and the was computer rebooted.

We have wasted money on several different brands. CNet CQU-906 Wireless-N PicoUSB Dongle is one of the few to work properly. I will be buying more in the future. Our homeschool classroom computers are 60 feet (at least) away from the router in a former detached garage. I am very pleased the dongle gets good signal anyway. The kids are required to join video lessons and watch multimedia. The device has no problem handling their day. Next purchase a router from this decade! :))

This is a great alternative to other USB wireless dongles on the market. Most computer stores still carry the larger version at twice or three times the price. Reception is good/adequate. The only issue you might find is that it is so small that it could be hard to remove from the USB port. The slot in a velcro cable tie is the right size to go around the connector and give you a pull tab for removal.
