I have been scraping and using toliet bowl cleaners for years and years ... what a pain and a lot of work. The first time I used this I about dropped over! A toliet bowl that normally took hours to get clean ... took two minutes with this product. I cannot not say enough nice things about this product ... use it once and you will be sold on it for the rest of your life. Once in awhile dreams actually come true.

I cannot believe what I am reading here! I have used this product for a long time! It does NOT remove the lime & calcium deposits, whatsoever, & NEVER has! Why am I still using it....haven't found anything that does the job, so, use this because it's cheap & my toilet smells cleaner even though it doesn't look it! A gentleman mentioned a stone I can purchase at Walmart! I am going to give that a try!

We have well water at my home that has quite a high content of iron in it. This results in orange build up in the toilet, sink and tub/shower. We have used CLR for a number of years, but if its not sprayed on everything multiple times a week it starts to build up and it takes hours and hours of scrubbing to get everything white again. We picked up The Works disinfectant hard water stain remover and honestly, we were AMAZED at not only how well it worked, but how incredibly FAST it worked. We had been spraying CLR and scrubbing to get the extreme hard water build up off that I thought The Works would just be something else I would have to scrub, DEFIANTLY not the case. We squeezed some of this in the toilet and within SECONDS it started eating away at the build up. We did the same with the sink. Honestly, I the last time the sink and toilet were this sparkling white was when they were installed. I used the whole bottle of The Works cleaner and then went back and bought another bottle to keep on hand to use daily. No more scrubbing! I am thrilled! I would absolutely recommend this to ANYONE who has any kind of hard water staining/build up.

I had some thick hardwater stains on a rental toilet - This stuff was pure magic, dissolved the calcium as i was spraying it in. Very little scrubbing and it was clean as new.

I can't remember when I was so pleased with a product. After scrubbing and using multiple products to get rid of this rust, I was a bit skeptical. But low and behold, this product worked amazingly well. I couldn't stop looking at my clean toilet bowl.

buy the "bath stone" cleaner stone it really works "the works" & other cleaning products don't work. My mom bought it at walmart for less than $5. It removed my hard water stains in my toilet right away very little scrubbing. I highly recomend the "bath stone"

I purchased this in passing with little hope, having tried half a dozen other toilet bowl cleaners, most name brand. Since before we had moved into out new home one of the toilets had a white-ish red-ish stain/film that simply would not go away. We were planning on replacing it anyway (since it's a yellow toilet circa 1970) but until then it seemed we were stuck. The bottle seemed to make a lot of claims, and I figured for the price I might as well try. Well, this product delivered all the way! After applying I let the product sit for more than the recommended time - a couple hours while i did some other housework. When I came back I barely even needed to use the toilet brush - all the stains were completely lifted.

An amazing product that immediately removed some stubborn etched-in rust stains in one of my toilet bowls. Until using The Works, nothing could get the stains out, but with a bit of scrubbing using a standard toilet bowl brush, the stains were literally gone in a few minutes and the commode looks new again. Incredible.

This product was recommended to me by a stranger while I was walking thru the bathroom cleaner aile at WalMart. I am so GLAD that this person recommended this product to me. We have hard water strains in our toilets and this product is a MIRACLE....it removes the strains immediately with very little scrubbing. You can spend hours trying to remove rust stains and hard water scale with other products but this one is the only one that's effective. The only product that comes close is CLR but The Works is even better.
Most other bathroom cleaners are a waste of time, effort and money by comparison. They must be paying The Works not to advertise - they'd be finished if more people knew about this.

I just bought a house and it wasn't well maintained by the previous owners - I have a toilet that doesn't flush, and was looking for something that would clean out lime and rust deposits in the rim ports. I found The Works was recommended by a lot of people and for less than two dollars I figured it was worth a shot. Now my toilet flushes (yay) - and someone had assumed it was clogged, used a snake, and the snake left marks on the porcelain that this product also removed with no scrubbing at all.
I also used it to clean some SERIOUS hard water deposits out of the bathtub (CLR and Lime-Away wouldn't touch them) and it worked like a champ, although it could possibly damage metal drain components so this is not the best idea unless it is a last resort, as I did find it removed some chrome from the drain ring, but the drain ring was already peeling and corroded, so no biggie. Ran cold water down the drain for 20 minutes and nothing is leaking below.

Great OUTSIDE the bathroom!

The stains on the bottom of your boat from biological buildup can be super hard to remove. Generally you have to pay someone to use oxalic acid to remove. The works is just as effective. I put three or four containers in a sprayer, some rubber gloves and spray the affected area. Let sit for two minutes and rinse with power washer...same results, hundreds of dollars cheaper! Make sure to rinse well to avoid oxidation of your trailer and also to dilute running into storm sewer. This product has saved me about $700 in the past four years...not to mention the great job it does on toilets!!!!

Ok, so I'm really not one to write product reviews but I was serching for coupons for this product and ran across the reviews and figured I would write one. We have well water in my home which is very hard water and it leaves all sorts of yucky brown rusty stains in the toilet, bath tub and even in my washing machine. I have tried so many various products and nothing worked all that great because even the better brands would still leave behind spots and streaks. Well one day, my mother-in-law mentioned this product to me and I decided to go ahead and give it a try because it was so cheap and now I'm completely hooked on it and recommend it to everyone. I can use just a little bit of it and the tiolet bowl comes out sparkling white. I even found a new use for it as well . . .getting the brown hard water stains out of my washing machine. I'm not sure if I should even be using it for that purpose but I did anyway and the product name definitely speaks true . . . It WORKS! Best toilet cleaner on the market. I hope the keep making it.

A lot of the other products out there simply don't have enough hydrochloric acid to dissolve the lime, which is essential for that purpose. This on the other hand does. It could just as well be commercial grade as it is great. Definitely buy this product.

I had rust stains on my toilet bowl that just wouldn't come out. I tried every product on the market to no avail. I was embarrassed to have people use my bathroom. I scrubbed and scrubbed. Nothing. THEN I found The Works!!!!!! ONE squirt and the stain was gone! Several months later I went to my cousin's auto shop and their toilet was really stained. They couldn't find a cleaner either. I brought them a bottle of The Works and it removed lime deposits and rust stain that had been impossible to remove, right away. I won't buy anything else ever again.
