I was looking for a console to hold our flatscreen tv and bought this from Walmart. It was the right size and for the value fit our budget. But you MUST know if any parts of it is defected you can not get a replacement for it because it has been discontinued. That is what happened to us, the middle door has a crack on top and a wide split on it. Luckily, it is not noticeable when the door is closed. Not worth dismantling to return to walmart , but they need to let people know this information and would make a difference if people buy it.

Was almost persuaded not to buy this TV Console after reading some of the reviews, but took my chances and ordered it since I really needed a moderately priced piece for my 55" tv. Used the site-to-store service and unit arrived at my local Walmart in three days. Since I knew from other reviews that the console was very heavy and bulky, I had my son drive me to the store in his truck.
A nice young Walmart employee brought it to the front of the store and helped my son load it into his truck. Son used a dolly to bring it into my living room and unpacked all the parts and hardware for me. We had a few anxious moments as we started unpacking when we found one end of the heavy carton had been opened and was taped over with clear heavy tape. Also one of the flat sides had a large hole gouged in it.
The carton was packaged very carefully with styrofoam spacers and plastic wrap keeping all the parts safely separated from each other. Not a single piece was scratched or broken and every piece, cam lock, screw, etc. was included.
I am a 74 year old grandpa and from this point on I was on my own with the assembly process. No need to worry! Every piece fit perfectly as per the instructions (which were included). I had an apprehensive moment when it came to placing the heavy top piece, but it dropped right into place all safe and snug.
After assembly of this console, you're going to stand back and admire your handiwork. It is truly a beautiful piece of furniture. I have room on each side of the tv to put my Bose cube speakers and center speakers in front of the stand that the tv is on. I use the drawer behind the center door for storage. Shelves behind the two end doors house my surround sound components and cable HD DVR. If you think it's getting too hot inside the console for your gear, the back pieces of the unit can be very easily removed.
Almost forgot--you're going to love the way the door hinges snap on. The parts are already fitted on the doors and walls and you just snap them together. Great shortcut! My wife and I are really enjoying this beautiful piece of furniture. Glad I took my chances and ordered it despite some bad reviews.

I needed a large cabinet with glass doors for infra red control of all my electronics and this one was perfect and the price was right. Very heavy, need 2 people to carry the boxed item. Opened box in garage and carried the pieces separately into the house to build it. Building took several hours. Instructions were excellent, all pieces were there, none were damaged, and all the pre-drilled holes were exactly placed (unlike some other reviews). No instructions on how to straighten the doors, but a little playing with the screws made it obvious. A few minor things made me give it 4 stars instead of 5 stars: 1) Some minor variation in color on the top and bottom pieces; 2) the metal cams were not as tough as they should be -- a couple cracked when tightening them; 3) stickers provided to hide the metal cams would not sit correctly because cams were slightly bulging from surface after tightening. Overall though, the finished stand looks great and is sturdy enough for the heaviest TV and equipment.

Ilove this TV stand but was disappointed at how banged up some of the pieces were when we opened the box. It was only $200 so I can't expect a lot. The packaging was damaged so I would put the blame on the shipping and handling.

On-line description claimed the item was made by Sauder - it was another manufacturer. Quality was poor - not like Sauder furniture. Process return was satisfactory so far but carrier has not notified me of a pickup date.

Received item fairly quickly. Opened box and four [4] of the pieces were damaged. The worst damage was a corner on the top was smashed. Called the manufacturer and explained issues, and they agreed to ship a new top. Got a call today (one [1] week later) from the manufacturer that they have discontinued this item and they will not be able to replace the top. What a poor way of doing business.

I ordered the product online and used the site to store shipping method. I was happy with that. I opened the box and started to put it together and noticed most of the pieces were scratched. Then I went to put the top piece on and there were no holes drill to put in the dowels or the screws. I called the company to get it replaced and they said 7 to 14 days. I called october 5. It's now october 21 and still no top! By the way I put the handles on the doors and they are all crooked. Taking it back!!!

I put the TV Console together my myself. I had my husband help lift the heavy top to line it up with the cam bolts to the cam locks. I had a little trouble putting the last door on, but I figured it out after a while. We have our 60" TV on it. I also have a CD player, Blue Ray player, the Receiver and Cassette/DVD player in the console. We just love it and the price was just right.

Easy assembly with minimal tools. Door installation and adjustment is a bit tricky but didn't take much time once I figured out the adjustment points. Appearance is great. Exposed surfaces are wood veneer. It is very heavy (160 lbs) so bring a friend to load/unload it. Boxed product fits easily in the back of my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Internal shelves were big enough for all my electronic components and remotes worked fine through the glass doors.

The product is beautiful and solid. It holds my 65" perfectly! The only issues was it's set up. The instructions say it would only take 45 minutes. It took 2 hours and failed to mention it needed two people. But over all I love the product, it looks great!

It is a shame it's being discontinued by Walmart. It came to the store a little late for our expectation, but the box was in perfect shape. It was a bit heavy to carry, roughly around 135 pounds, so it needed an extra set if muscles to help load and unload. My 17 & 12 year old sons practically assembled the whole thing in under an hour including me helping to level the doors which was a 3 min job.
Now that our 60" Plazma TV is sitting on it, we feel it's a perfect setup, solid design and a very elegant look. Also at $195 it really beats most of the other cabinets out there for that size TV. We absolutely love and recommend it to all.

Like the finish but some of the veneers could be of better quality. Assembly was pretty easy & seems very solid once done. Appearance is very nice in the living room & it holds everything with room to spare. I liked the cloth screen in the center for the center channel speaker & the front speakers fit nicely on top next to the 47" flat screen.

This TV console was everything we had hoped it to be. It went together easily with great instructions. It took my husband and I about an hour to put it together. Very heavy!!!! You'll need help getting it anywhere. It is a very beauitful peice. We looked at many stands before we found this one at a fraction of the price. I would recommend it to anyone.

I don't know how they can possibly make an extremely heavy and solid piece of wooden furniture for this unbelievably low price. This thing is solid as a rock. The box is incredibly heavy. I was alone and barely got it into the back of the van. There was no way I could have gotten it out when I got home, so I opened the box and pulled out the pieces and carried them inside and down to the home theater in the basement piece by piece, and even that took a long time as the top and bottom pieces alone were very heavy. It went together extremely easily, but it takes time. I'm very handy and had all the tools (much easier with an electric screwdriver, but you should have that already), but it still took a couple hours to put it together. The center cupboard for the center channel speaker is precisely 18 3/4" wide, so if your center channel speaker is wider, it won't fit. There are more movable shelves provided than I think anyone could use frankly. All of the pieces were present and in good condition with no scratches or damage worth mentioning. The packaging of the fasteners and the marking of each piece were supberb, the best I've seen in this type of assemble-it-yourself furniture. It benefited from an immediate good polishing with regular Pledge, and it came out looking great. It holds a 60" plasma TV and could easily hold a bigger TV no problem at all. The box says it can hold 175 lb. TV, and I believe it could hold twice that (you'll see when you put it together). I'm really pleased with this piece of furniture, and I'm very picky. I have another TV table, a BDI, which costs five times as much, and this is not very far behind that.

I purchased the oak version and am generally pleased with it. The box is quite heavy so do make sure you have help when picking it up. The top shelf, bottom frame and doors are oak. I was struck as too how very nice the top shelf looked. It is slightly darker than honey oak and is closer to the traditional oak color. Fortunately most of our furniture including baseboard is the traditional oak color so that is good. I did have a problem with the center door as its color was more reddish oak and looked totally out of place. Whoever packed the unit did not take the time to match the doors. A quick call to the company's toll free number resulted in a promise to ship me out another door free of charge. Very nice service.
Now the second issue is the fact that the sides, back and internal shelves are the pressed board with a type of veneer that does not match the top, bottom and doors. Once assembled the difference is obvious. The back and inside shelves are not much of an issue since they can't be seen but the sides are noticeable. I guess we can deal with it since I can't do anything about it. Just be aware that there are color variations but when looked at directly the credenza looks very nice. Hopefully my replacement center door will match the other two.
Finally the center door has this black fabric that is wrapped around a square cardboard insert that has holes in it. I found this to be pretty cheap looking. The black cloth insert is easily removeable from behind the door panel which I did. I went to my local glass store and bought a piece of 1/8" annealed glass 15-1/8" x 15-1/4" which replaces the goofy panel and matches the other doors. Costs less that 5$. When my replacement door comes I plan on using the glass panel in it.
Bottom line- satisfied purchase and the price makes the hassles still worth it.
