The Black & Decker CHV1210 DustBuster 12-Volt Cordless Cyclonic Hand Vac is ideal for quick pick-ups around the house or in the car. It features a slim nozzle that reaches even difficult-to-reach places. The handheld vacuum cleaner is lightweight, compact and simple to use, and it works like a charm on carpeted surfaces, upholstery, floors and stairs. Crafted to a large mouth design, the vac handles large debris with ease white its cyclonic action forces dirt and dust away from the filter thus preserving the efficacy of suction power. Designed with a removable, washable filter, the cordless hand vac does not require frequent filter changes. It features a translucent bagless dirt bowl that allows you to examine the dirt level at a cursory glance so you can empty it if need be.

Great Hand Vac if you have pets

I purchased this hand vac because we have a dog and cat who shed like crazy and I was tired of dragging out my vacuum just to pick up the dust bunnies created by our pets. We have hardwood floors throughout our home and this hand vac is perfect for going around the edges of the living room, dining room and kitchen plus the 6 steps that lead upstairs (we have a split level house) and picks up all that pet hair in just a few short minutes. I even use it in place of my dustpan & brush after I have swept the floors. I love this little machine! My kids like to use it when they clean their rooms. Speaking of the kids, the vac has been dropped a few times but it still works like a champ.
It comes with a hook to hang the vac on the wall. We keep it by the back door to keep it handy for picking up the dirt the kids and dog track into the house. It also has a washable filter, but I haven't washed it yet so I can't say how it holds up.
I had a cheaper hand vac a few years ago that was a waste of time and I almost didn't buy this one because I thought they were all the same, but boy am I glad I gave this a try. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Inexpensive, but otherwise very poor product. The totally ineffective filter lets small particles fly right through the vac & out the back end, sometimes right into my face. The battery life is extremely short.

Suprised at how little a charge it holds. I am using it to clean lighting fixtures in an office building. I can hear the power starting to wane after about an hour. Nevertheless, it's fine for the little jobs for which I'll use it.

Black & Decker is a very good brand and I am very happy with this purchase. It is great for small jobs and I am glad I bought this one rather than the less powerful one because this one picks up everything very well. Just like the instructions said, I let it charge for over 24 hours, and then used it until it needed recharging again. While I haven't timed how long the dust buster will pick up debris on one charge non-stop, I would guess that it's about 15 - 20 minutes. I like that it's light weight and that it's very easy to get to the filter. Should you decide to buy this product, which I would definitely recommend, I would advise that you also purchase a replacement filter. I thought it would be a good idea to purchase a replacement filter right away just to have one on hand, but had not added one to my shopping cart when buying the dust buster online, thinking I could easily find one at any Walmart that carries this product on their shelf. Wrong! While I noticed that every Walmart seemed to carry this dust buster, I could not find a replacement filter at ANY Walmart. Why is that? Why carry the product but not the replacement filters? It makes no sense to me.

Excellent suction power; lightweight, easy to handle with one hand. Appears easy to clean. Is a little loud, but for some years I have worn sound-protection ear muffs for any significant noise, so at age 76, I have very little hearing loss. Highly recommend after initial use.

This vacuum does a decent job of picking up stuff but one thing I've noticed is that if you have very fine dust, it blows through the filter and back into the room. If you're going to use it for "normal dirt" go for it, but for things like fireplace ashes (cooled of course) you need something with a better filter.

This B & D Dustbuster is great. It is more powerful than my previous B&D Dustbuster. I have only had it a week, but I am impressed by its ability to pick up cat hair, crumbs, etc. I had my last dustbuster for about 8 years. I hope this one will last that long too.

I had bought this identical vacuum for my garage a year ago and it has served me fantastically well. It has great suction power for a cordless and runs for about 15 minutes on a single charge. Decided to buy another one for the laundry room due to good experience with it. By far the best cordless vacuum I've owned.

Suction works well but is much louder than my previous model and is a bit odd because of the rounded bottom surface. It makes it hard to put down without it rolling on its side.

I really like this product, especially for the stairs and along the baseboards, places the regular vac can't reach. The only thing that I don't like about it is the short period of time the charge seems to last. Fully charged, I made it through 5 steps and it lost power and died, requiring me to move on to another job while I was waiting for it to recharge.
