I bought this fan out of desperation. It had been so hot where we live that all fans were sold out of stores. I ended up having to purchase all my fans online. The reviews stated how great this fan was and the amount of wind it produced. However, when I received the package I wondered what I had bought at Walmart other than the fan. Its SUPER small and does no good in the living room. It does say protable and great for outdoor games. I'll definately take this with me to my daughter's softball games, but other than that its really quite useless.

This fan is perfect for when the power goes out on hot summer days or nights. Keeps the air moving to keep you cool. Would also be great for camping. It has excellent air flow that keeps you cool, and it is light and easy to take it where you need it.

Have used it only minimally with batteries but works fine with both plug-in and batteries. Purchased it primarily for use with power outages but have been using it via plug-in. Also, Walmart is very fast in processing/shipping orders.

Good luck getting the batteries in the fan

It took me 20 minutes to get the batteries in this fan. It takes 8 large D batteries which are very expensive. The fan has two battery compartments on the bottom which each hold 4 batteries if you can manage to fit them in without breaking the plastic around it. It is very tight. You may also want to put a piece of ribbon under the batteries so you can remove them easier later.
The fan looks nice, works well and has a convenient handle. Perfect for power outages during hot summer days if you can get the batteries in it.

A lotta wind for your money

While we brought it camping, the weather was cool enough that we did not need it. But testing it out was a breeze (even the low setting put out a good amount of wind). Only down side is we opted for rechargable batteries and thus, spent more for the batteries than the fan... but it will be used in a couple of weeks and rechargable batteries will make it worth the price in the long run

What a fan! We went camping Memorial Day weekend and it was HOT! I had this fan overnighted (hated to pay the extra shipping), and it was a God send that weekend. Used batteries then. The fan is now our camping fan. Thanks for providing us with an awesome product!

The box shows a hanging hook made onto the handle, that wasn't on the model I purchased. A liitle string wrapped around the tree sufficed. This fan is totally amazing, it is so quiet and put out alot of cool air on low power. My hunting buddy had one and said he got it at Walmart. Thankyou Walmart for carrying some really good products for the camper and hunter.

It is light weighted and battery makes is stable to place, and quiet operation does not disturb my sleep.

This fan works nicely. It's quiet and compact.
I run mine off a rechargeable 12 volt battery when A/C power outlets are not available It's a very simple modification for anybody that can splice wire and will practically pay for itself after just a few uses.

I purchased this unit to cool a high power workstation that runs very hot in a semi-enclosed cabinet. Place behind and with its back adjoining the back of the workstation, this fan does a great job of pulling out the hot hair that is exhausted from the back of the workstation and blowing it out of the back of the cabinet.
One issue I notices is the fan motor will get a bit of a very slight intermittent high pitch noise if the temperature gets on the warmer side. Again, it is very slight and might only bug those who are OCD about "different" noises - but it doesn't seem to affect the operation of the fan at all. I found that turning the fan upside down but with all the other orientations the same helped a bit.
This fan runs 24 hours a day/7 days a week in my application and so far no issues.
I am purchasing another one of these to draw heat out of another cabinet that has some audio/video equipment that runs hot as well.

Very good value I hope it lasts long I'll be using it as an attic fan and over driving it a bit too. This little guy pushes plenty of air, I did read it sucks down batteries but this is no application I am interested in I have it running on a solar panel, and am very pleased.
