I bought this because it said it could be used with semi transparent stains. I should have known better.
What a waste of time and money. The coverage is horrible and it wastes so much stain. Ended up having to use a brush anyway.

Good Name But Bad Product

I have had Hudson products before, which was the reason for choosing this particular sprayer. It did not live up to my previous experience with their line of equipment.
It is cheaply made (all plastic, including the spray nozzle). The pumping stroke does not always increase the pressure in the tank and the adjustment on the sprayer tip is not very effective.
In addition, when I was done and wanted to depressure the tank (this model has no depressurization valve), rotating the pump assembly didn't unscrew it because the collar component was rotating as well. Had to hold the latter to remove the former.
Took it back to my local WalMart and exchanged it for a no-name sprayer that performed better in all regards (and was considerably less expensive).
