Beautiful Product and SIMPLE Assembly

I was leery about purchasing this product only because of the reviews detailing assembly horror stories. Well, I did not have that experience at all. The instructions were very detailed and clear, assembly was easy, and the product was perfect, aside from one area where the finish was rubbed away. I assembled the dresser myself and it took about 3 hours -- that's including several breaks. I'm impressed with the quality and the features. I also purchased the mirror which is just as nice.
It is helpful to assemble on a carpet, both for movement, and to protect the finish. Once it's assembled, it can be moved easily without the drawers. Please note that the dresser package weighs about 130lbs, so you'll most likely need help hauling it into your home.

It was not so difficult to put it together, got all the pieces, but it has some damage on two panels. I was very disappointed about it, but it doesn't worse to take it apart and wait for another one. It looks nice after all.

We bought this for my 2 year old's room. It took a while to assemble but the instructions were pretty good. Once it was put together I was very pleased! The drawers have a locking feature so you cannot open more than one at a time to prevent it from turning over, which I really liked. The drawers slide easily and the color of the dresser was very nice and blends with our other espresso colored furniture.

Bought to of these drawer chests 6 months ago and a month later everything fell apart. One cracked down the middle, the other cracked also and all the drawers fell apart also. Waste on money, please do not buy, you will regret it.

After 6.5 hours of putting this beautiful piece together by myself I really love how it looks in the bedroom. Although I did not mind doing this all by myself I would recommend you have two people or a hard flat surface like a large work table to assemble it together.
The only draw back I saw is that the pre-cut holes for the locking mechanism they use to assemble the legs and side of dresser is not deep enough. When you tighten up as instructed it beaks apart the wood so you will need to apply some liquid nails to it. Also be careful as to not put any pressure on the sides until EVERYTHING is assembled.
The drawers were easy and fun to put together and I was surprised I got them right the first time with no adjustments needed. The color of the unit is a dark chocolate brown and will go with any dark pieces you have. Oh one more thing make sure you lay everything out so you can check to make sure all the pieces are there and I used a re-chargeable screwdriver which made a difference. Also when the company packs the screws they should package them in a separate bag and not all thrown together. I believe this is the reason why there were not enough screws as per the instructions, but other than that I would recommend this beautiful piece to anyone who asks.

I saw other reviews for this product and was a little skeptical in purchasing it but after receiving the product I was VERY PLEASED. It is really nice and gives great character to a room. One thing I didn't like was putting it together, soooo many screws, easy assembly but needs to be a little clearer. After 5 1/2 hours it was complete, very sturdy and heavy.

Upon reading other reviews I was hesitant to order this because of the assembly required. Although it took me a few hours to complete the instructions were very easy to understand and there were also video tutorials available on the sander website. The finished product was beatiful and the drawers are more spacious than I thought. It is also expensive looking and very sturdy but at a great price. I love it!

For the price this is a decent dresser. Sturdy and beautiful. Assembly was time consuming because there are lots of screws but once we got the hang of it we had no problems.

I loved the picture of this dresser, but any good feelings have stopped there. There are endless pieces-more than you can understand!! I had two guys put it together and it has taken over 4 hours! And even now my drawers don't fit right, but we gave u for a bit on it. Also, my boyfriend somehow scratched one of the drawers, so the quality is very poor and fragile. I called Sauder and they were very nice, and offered to replace my scratched drawer which is nice. I won't be order furniture from Walmart again that needs assembling. I'm pretty bummed. This wasn't the cheapest thing in the world, but still Walmart-I still expected a bit more.

Not so happy--VERY fragile finish

After seeing all the good reviews, I purchased this chest. It did not look as nice as I was expecting. BEWARE--the finish is very fragile. We assembled it rather easily, on carpet as suggested. Even being very careful, it still ended up with minor chips and scratches. The finish does look a little cheapy also. I definitely DO NOT recommend this for a youth or high activity room. I expect it will only last a few years before needing to be replaced but is sufficient for what i need for right now. Wish I had spent a little more $$ and purchased something nicer.

The first unit I received had damage, they did send me a new one, which was fantastic. The second unit took several hours to properly put together and while the directions were needed to assemble, some of the pictures/directions were not clear. The boards scratch very easily and a few of them had some very minor damages/flaws, but nobody wants a new dresser to have any flaws to start with. It was a very frustrating experience, but I hope it will last at least a couple of years at least. Next time I will buy a solid wood dresser which will last longer and not have to assemble. By the way I am very handy and able to improvise so that wasn't the issue.

I was very pleased with this chest. I didn't have any trouble putting it together by myself (& I'm a small women). The key is to thoroughly read the instructions and take it slow. Don't assume you know the next step. It did take me a few hours to assemble though. One of the drawer fronts was pretty chipped up from shipping but I got on Sauders website, eneterd my information and which piece was damaged and they shipped a new one to me. No questions asked and at no charge. I also bought the TV stand to go with it. I will next order the night stand. Overall I think this is a great value for the $.

This is a nightmare to put together. The parts are not marked with the letters they are suppose to have and after a week I am still trying to put it together. Some of the parts are damaged but it would be too difficult to try to return it.

The assembly was easy, but a bit time consuming. I like the extra durability features, such as; clips over the back bottom of drawer to keep the bottom from popping out. I also like how the drawer sides slide into each other. It looks very nice, and drawers are deep, so they hold a lot.
