The purchase of 2 nightstands now completes my bedroom and I simply love the look. I purchased the queen sized headboard first, just to have someplace to put "stuff" and then I got the chest, dresser & mirror. The nightstands are great. I haven't bumped into one yet (all the pieces have those squared/sharp edges). The only thing that would improve on this set would be to have "rounded" edges. Other than that, they were easy to put together (I've become a pro since the chest and dresser). The parts all fit and I am enjoying the look of my new room.

They were very hard to put together. I bought two. The first was put together like the instructions say and then had to be redone cause the sides were backwards. The second one of course was easier. They are pretty and I like how they turned out, but one had a peg missing and had to go to a hardware store to find another one to keep the side in tack and the front part, like a kick plate just slides on a groove. If you put too much pressure on it, you will crack or break it. We had to glue one part back. As I said the first was a mission, but after you figure it out, its good and pretty. I would have paid for them to be shipped put together. :)

I bought two of these in the oiled oak. I wanted something kinda medium color, but these were darker than expected. Instructions were not real plain and it took awhile to put them together. Not made of the best stuff. Be careful, and not use too much pressure when putting them together. And I read all the reviews before I made this decision. Not as sturdy as I hoped and to begin with I wanted to get the whole set; dresser/mirror and headboard, but they don't make a king headboard to match it so guess that ends that. Oh well they were too dark anyway. I will use them for awhile or as long as they hold up, then I'll head to a furniture store and buy some that I can SEE before buying and don't have to put together. Maybe they will grow on me after awhile. Time will tell. I guess you get what you pay for.

I looked everywhere...online, all over town and all that I found was overpriced nightstands - that it until I went to Walmart.com where I found the Shauder Shoal Creek nightstands! A great price, free ship to store - so easy and inexpensive! The most amazing thing is though they don't LOOK cheap...they really look good!! My bedroom went from drab to fabulous!! I would recommend these to anybody!

I needed an oak night stand and looked every where until I found this one. It took about 2 hours to put it together. The directions were not the best. The screws for the front leg weren't log enough and I hope it holds together. It doesn't looked finished; it looks cheap.

These nightstands were a good price, but they didn't even look to be the honey oak color we ordered - they were much darker. They were particle board basically even though it said real wood online and they were TERRIBLY difficult to put together. My husband gave up about halfway through the first one. They came in so many peices - and this is a guy who is great at putting things together. I would not buy these even for a dorm room. They are just very poor quality.

I ordered two of these nightstands and I am pleasantly surprised at how nice they are.
