Never give straight talk a credit card number

second month in a row that I tried to put a service plan on my phone and had these thieves charge my credit card twice. Last month it took 5 days to get the refund, this month they are saying their policy has changed, and I have to have my bank fax them a copy of my bank statement. All this hassle after haveing them acknowledge the prior month that their claimed "unlimited" plan has limits anfd that they do not follow their own rules,

I thought this would be a quick and easy way to get a service card. It says it will send you an email with the access number on the card. I never received the email. It is not in my junk mail. It is not in any folder, including my new mail folder.
I went to the Straight Talk web page and was able to purchase a service card and my phone was credited the access within 5 minutes.

Easy way to up your minutes when you order on-line. Great value compared to other cell phone plans locally. I have not experienced any dropped calls, loss of signal or any problems what so ever. I would recommend to anyone who wants to get their cell phone plan under control.

I bought a straight talk card with e-mail delivery of the PIN, as a gift for my father. I ordered it expecting to receive the PIN by e-mail within an hour, or even immediately, as stated on your website. 5+ hours later, still no PIN! I am so aggravated!

Good Product But Avoid Auto-refill ...

- simple and quick initial setup
- service is available where t-mobile is also available
- call quality matches t-mobile i.e. availability in major cities and lots of key towns
- reasonable monthly cost
- lots of device choices from basic phones, semi-advanced text & browse phones to real smart phones

- never use auto-refill because you cannot TURN it off. on the portal, you can easily turn it on but as of May 14 2013, there is no option to turn it off. i called customer service daily for 30 days and no one answered. no, not once. if you don't believe this, call the 800 customer service and wait for someone to pick up. finally, check out the straight talk forum where lots of users are struggling to turn off their auto-refill:

Not truly unlimited just look up reviews on line. Very very very poor customer service. Not a single person speaks good English. I would not recommend and if you do decide to try this only buy month to month. If you buy more than that and it stops you will be stuck with all those month that they will not reimburse you for.

I switched to straight talk in May 2011, after seeing the commercial on TV.
I had T-mobile but was charged 150 a month for unlimited everything. I was on disability then and income was tight. So I gave it a chance. I have been happy since.
I would give it a 5 but sometimes my calls drop.
Also depending on what phone you have is what service provider you have. Sprint is the best one. I have had very few dropped calls with them.

I bought mins for straight talk phone and it told me that it would be deivered by email in minutes ....well 2hours later still no mins in my email.....TOTALLY UPSET....DONT DO THIS EMAIL JUNK!

I have had Straight Talk for a few years now. It seemed like a great alternative to pricey contracts. I upgrade to a smart phone ($380!) and after only 6 months of the Unlimited plan, my Data plan was "suspended" for "overuse" without any notification. And I don't use much data - email and some social media. I tried calling customer service multiple time, as I was on a business trip and needed data. I was given the run around 3 seperate times then transferred to a message that hung up on me. I would not recommend this service to anyone. FIND ANOTHER PROVIDER!

Good phone and reasonable line quality for the money (using Verizon network). I purchased this phone plan because we travel a lot internationally for months at a time. The advantage of this plan is that it is a month to month plan, or so we thought... What they don't tell you is that if you don't pay every month you don't keep your phone number, therefore forcing you to pay every month! I should have just taken a contract with Verizon, at least with them we can suspend service when out of the country. I would recommend to a friend who stays in the US, but not ideal in our case.

My Straight Talk activation numbers were not delivered to my yahoo email account. There is no way to recover my money through Wal-Mart. I was told to contact my bank and dispute the charge. I will never order this way again.
