I recommend a Cricket phone to everyone.

I have had my phone for over a year. Great service and reasonable in price. Every month I know what my phone bill is, $35. It is a pay-go and it is now the only phone service I have. I have not had any trouble with it. It is a no frills phone and I just love it. I use it daily and I only paid $20 for it at Walmart.
We then purchased a monthly Cricket phone for my boyfriend and he has had great service with his. If I had investigated Cricket service before I bought mine we could have bought the second phone on the monthly plan for only $15 extra which would have been a total of $50 monthly for both phones instead of the current $70. That is what the lady with the negative response should have done. Also, there are 2 types of Cricket stores, 1 is the corporate store and the other one is just mini store.
If you buy a phone go to the corporate store and have them transfer your old phone # into the new phone with all your contacts. That way you don't lose any calls or waste time telling everyone your new # especially if you use it for a business.

Its soooo much easier to buy my Cricket Top-Up card online. No wasting my gas or standing in lines at the store or getting there and finding out they are sold out of the one I need. I just order it online and within minutes Ive got the top-up code emailed to me and thats it, im done and ready to go and no worries about interuptions in my phone service. :)

Cricket PayGo Service is Awful

I bought a Cricket PayGo phone in May 2010. I should have returned it the next day. My husband and I had a monthly Cricket phone already and were happy with our service. We needed a second phone and bought a Cricket phone. Little did we know, but the differences between a regular monthly Cricket account and a Cricket PAYgo account are extreme.
Paying your monthly bill is a hassle. You either have to go to a Cricket store or "top up" on your phone, using a debit or credit card. You cannot pay online (according to the website it's coming soon, but it's said that for a while). Several months I would "top up" and have the charges come out of my checking account, but not be credited to the account.
Supposedly there is free nationwide calling, but this doesn't apply if you're in a roaming area (which according to the customer service person "can depend on where you are standing").
My account shows that I have spent over $40 in one month for visiting gaming and other websites. This is ridiculous since I never use the internet on my phone and would never agree to pay to visit a website.
I often don't get notices when my account is running low, so my phone will randomly stop having service. This is especially a problem since I use this phone as a business number.
Calling customer service is a complete waste of time. I'm often left trying to understand the person I'm talking to, who is likely working out of a foreign calling center. Customer service tells me to go to the store, and the store says to call customer service.
