Nook NOOK Color by Barnes and Noble
The Barnes and Noble NOOK Color eBook Reader offers a range of popular applications like email, video and web browsing. Now, not only can you read e-books but you can also connect to the internet to search for them online. The eBook Reader has a 7 inch, full color, VividView touchscreen, which displays 16 million colors. The Nook color e-Reader offers a wide viewing angle and has a reduced glare feature to make reading easy on the eyes. Its Wi-Fi access enables the user to shop for more than 2 million e-books, newspapers and magazines online. The 7-inch touch tablet has a special read to me feature, which is especially designed for children. The device comes with an 8 GB memory that can be expanded up to 32 GB, allowing you to store a large number of e-books and other important data. The Nook color eBook tablet is user-friendly and comes with a quick-start guide. It also features an installed rechargeable battery.

I would recommend this product to someone that lives in the United States. I live on the Maine border in Canada and cannot buy any of the apps for it. Walmart.com took my money for the item but did not notify me that I could not purchase any applications for it. B&N will not take my credit card number since it is Canadian but took it to purchase a giftcard which they will not let us use since we are Canadian. Now I am in a battle to get a refund for the money that they will not let us spend. The Nook color would be a nice ereader if we could use it to the fullest.

I have never purchased anything like this before. I had seen something similar a friend of mine had. I could not get the same one she had but I decided to try the Nook Color instead. I could not download some items, so I was a bit disappointed in that, but overall, it is great for reading many books and magazines as well as playing games. The kids love that part.

We're loving the Nook Color. It REALLY gets kids motivated to read read read!! Awesome - just AWESOME. If you're debating on this because of the cost - DON'T - it's so worth it when you see your child love reading even more than before. *We've also learned that books they need for school are available on the Nook.

The only problem I have with the Nook Color is that is not compatible with the amazon app store, you must purchase exclusively from the Barns and Noble Store...which does not supply all of the popular apps . It needs more accessibility to other software options.

There was no instruction manual provided. Had to go to the website and print out 182 pages of directions. To spend the amount of money for the NOOK Color and not be given any directions in the package is not good.
The apps are hard to maneuver and not user friendly. Will return product and save money for a tablet.

I have enjoyed my purchase. This was a gift for my mom from her family and was so happy when she got her gift for her birthday. She said my hints were finally heard. The color is great, setting up was easy, but when opening up many items don't expect it to respond as fast as computers. It gets a little confused and gets stuck, but is easily fixed.
