Its i really good TV for the price. I have it for a year now and my only complaint is the occasionally there will be white line that show up. So turn it off for a little bit and its fine. I had a serge go through my house and my tv wasn't working (screen was really dark but there was sound) I called Vizio and they told me to unplug it for 30 sec and plug it back it. And sure enough that did the trick.

After carefully reading all the reviews, I decided to purchase this Vizio. I am very good with electronics and found the setup confusing and had to call customer service. They were very good with assisting me with getting the tv set up with the cable box. I was unhappy with the picture quality, and the sound quality. I will be returning the tv and getting a different model. Tv may be excellent for a 1st time HDTV purchaser.

I traded a 22' for this 26" and now want a 32' final. I will not get anything but vizio. I am a very selective aka picky person -obsessed even.. have tohave the best. this vizio has great great sound (mind you it is in my bedroom) but i have to keep it at a 3 because it is so surround sound. What i love of the tv compared to the 22 is it has heat activated buttons on the front bottom. you cant see the buttons at all if there not acivated. they are not actual buttons but a light smooth with the tv,, they turn on tv and do aall of the actions that the remote does. ALL so if you cant find your remote your safe. i use this feature all the time. i will try to find thiis feature in the 32 i get. the only complaint i have is the color blue for sky pictures are mixed with red and appear to move. it does this for every cartoon i watch. the remote is very difficult to use meaning that when you push buttons nothing happens you must keep pressin it before menu comes up. the 22 inch did the same. Vizio is getting big and should resolve the soon, All in all i love my vizio....i hope this helped........

1st: It is an excellent product (picture, sound) 2nd: I researched prices, and this was the best out there (without having to pay "club memberships" to other stores). 3rd: Quick delivery when bought on-line (Site-to-Store). And the price was better on-line than in store (strange, but hey it works with me).

This model does have very poor sound quality but I have an Onkyo surround receiver so it doesn't matter to me.
The picture quality of OTA 720p and 1080i is great, SD and NTSC from OTA subchannels, DVDs and even VHS tapes looks good. My antenna is an RCA outdoor unit also from Wal-Mart but no longer sold here.
Per the Kill-A-Watt the power draw is 51 watts with the backlight cranked to 100 and dynamic contrast turned off and 25-35 watts depending on the image with the backlight set to a normal useable level and dynamic contrast on.
It also automatically does proper pillarboxing on 4x3 SD channels and wide on 16x9 HD channels, A friend's new 55" no-name set when HD is proper the SD is in "Stretch-O-Vision" and when SD is properly pillarboxed HD is squeezed to 4x3.
My only real complaints about this TV are that it only has optical digital out (toslink) for S/PDIF but not coax.
It doesn't have a zoom mode to make letterboxed widescreen SD images such as from OTA subchannels as big as possible without stretching.
and
The silver "OK" lettering and border on the 4 way directional pad on the remote control is already wearing off and I have had the unit less than a week.

I am very happy with this purchase! I needed another tv, but a little smaller than the 42" I had been using in a larger bedroom. This fits the need nicely. The sound quality is just a little less than I expected; but, that's probably because of the space left to place the speakers in such a small case. All-in-all, I am thrilled with this purchase. My daughter has a Visio 37" and it too is wonderful. I didn't think any tv could have better picture quality than hers. In the 3 years that she has had her tv, Visio has REALLY made a lot of improvements! AND, the price; gee, it really amazed me that Walmart could sell this wonderful product at such a low price.

The original Visio TV that was ordered never arrived so I reordered this one & it arrived in 3 days site to store. The size is perfect for my bedroom and it is hanging in the corner on an adjustable bracket. There is no distortion watching it while laying down. Had a little problem setting up the channels & I called Visio & the problem was solved in minutes. Visio Customer Service was great which is a good sign if i ever have to call again.
