So I bought this because it was cheap ($5) and thinking that I didn't work I wouldn't be all upset. As soon as I got it I was trying it out. It worked perfectly. I haven't used the usb cable or the free download it came with. I have a Sony CyberSHot and that's what I need it for. Its just perfect. Delivery of it was really fast too. It came a few days earlier than expected. Its really easy to use and to store. I didn't have to download any software or anything. Just take it out of the package and plugged it into my laptop an Acer Windows 8. Nothing had to be modified on the laptop. After it plugs in you see the option to open the file/memory card.

The unit appears to be well made, small in size and with a useful extension cable.
However, the unit did not read the camera card correctly. Some of the files were corrupted.
Overall, a disappointing performance from a big name company.
It will be returned to Wal Mart.

I bought a new laptop in December that only had an SD card slot. I needed to be able to import photos from my Sony camera that uses Memory Sticks. I looked for a Memory Stick reader at many local stores and on the internet and the only thing I could find were Multi-card readers that were huge and expensive. Then I found the Vivitar reader at Walmart that was exclusively for Memory Stick at a very reasonable $4.99 delivered to the store for pickup with no shipping charge! It works great and I didn't have to pay for something with extra features I didn't need. Very satisfied.

This unit allows me to transfer my camera pictures to my computer without having to connect the camera directly to the computer. Easier to carry than the A/V cable that came with the camera. Also, I lost that cable, and this allowed me to get back in action!

The website says that this stick will work with SD Cards, Well No it wont...
it is a DUO card reader and wont work with my SD Card. so i had to return it, the one i needed in the store was out of stock. so after i returned this one i rechecked stock and there it was the one i needed to start with which is a Targus SD/Micro sd reader for a bout 8 bucks.
Note: check around before trusting what tech specs you are reading on this site and make sure it it what it is before buying.

I recently sold my PSP for the new PS Vita (awesome if you like portable gaming devices) and forgot to transfer my games and saves to my PS3 so I went around looking for the card reader and was going to buy an all in one but found this little critter. worked right out of the package and is small and perfect for portability so instead of giving away my 8GB memory stick pro I use it for other saves on the PlayStation 3.

This card reader is very well built and works perfectly. At first I didn't know if I wanted to buy it since I thought It might not work with windows 7. However it works very well with it.
I'm glad I found this card reader that is made just for the memory stick format. Great price and quick shipping.
