i wonted to upgrade to a advance dslr my first dslr was the D3200 i seen that nikon is going to replace the D7000 sometime in 2013 so after some research and discussion with some professional camera people it was clear this was worth the money first off its weatherseal the D3200 was not.... the D7000 has got metale body parts so it will hold up over time.. the d3200 is plastic it wont hold up over time. plus u can go to sortable.com or snapsort.com and u can compare the differance between the 2 the D7000 has just amazed me time and time agein of the things it could do i look forward to learning with it if you are coming from a basic dslr like i did and wont to get a professional A.P.C. nikon camera u have found it

Review 2 for Nikon D7000 16.2 MP DSLR (Body Only), CMOS Sensor, 3" LCD, HD Video
walmart deliver the right product i ordered. fast too, this camera is just what i wanted, not too complicated to operate for beginners, yet good enough to pro's. nice, fast shutter speed, good enough crop sensor, exceptional image quality. must have if not too serious about video recording.

This is a great camera for someone wanting to advanced their skills. This is not a camera for someone new to photography. I would recommend a point and shoot or a lower end DSLR for someone who is just starting out, or doesn't know how to use the camera off Auto.

mine didnt come with prints but i liked it. I would reccomend purchasing the whole part instead of the body and then the lens. It was a satisfieng deal. This camera has very high quality and is top of the line.

It was a while waiting but Nikon finally got a lot of things right in the D7000. For previous D90 users they layout is very similar and they will feel comfortable immediately. It is less than half the price of the iconic D700 and has many of its features. While the D700 is a full frame (compared to a DX or cropped format for the D7000), the D700 is 3 years old and still uses compact flash cards, buying the D7000 instead will leave you with a very comparable camera -- and a lot of extra $ to use towards a new lense. The D300 or D300s also costs more and is no match. The D7000 is a great product and very well priced.

I was greatly interested in the camera body after using a friend of mines unit. I do photography and i was used to using my Nikon D40 body for the past 4 years but lately started to think i could use an upgrade. This camera exceeds what i expected as far as performance, controls and overall feel. Money well spent.

As a former D90 user this is a welcome upgrade. I needed the faster frame rate, plus the auto focus when shooting video, which the D90 did not have,The increased resouution was a nice feature as a lot of our printijg is large format.
