I did some reseach before buying this machine and thought it had a very good rating for the price.
The machine took awhile to put together but the instructions were great and the included tools will do the job.
I like how quiet the machine is and the different programs. Much nicer than the elliptical I had 10 years ago.

Great machine! I would recommend 2 people to assemble it. Really works your muscles & gets the heart rate pumping.
Only thing extra that i would like is that it offered the option to plug in your weight and age so the calories burned would be more accurate.
This is my first & so far the best exercise machine i've ever bought!

Great Machine for the Money

For the money, you'll be hardpressed to find a more durably built machine. Bushings and bearings are used where many home machines would have simple part-to-part journals to wear out and cause rattles or require costly replacement. Not your typical cheaply built home machine to relegate to holding boxes and clothes.
Flat ellipse pattern is easy on the knees, hips, back, though the slightly forward position does exercise the back muscles. You may find back fatigue as much as leg or getting winded when you first use this machine. Fairly straight forward assembly except for fishing the sensor cable thru the mast -a bit tricky, so plan some patience for this task. You also want to plan for at least two sturdy folks to carry the box in, preferably three or four.
Had one mild screeching sound develop where the cupholder/pinch guard covers the hub of the hand lever pivot. Readjusting the screws solved it, but shimming under the plastic, between the guard and the stationary part of the hub was a permanent fix. Beyond that, very, very quiet for an exercise machine. My wife needed this (to replace her treadmill) post- knee surgery, and I had been using a recumbent bike in an upstairs room. I have switched to the EX59 since it is convenient, and quieter than my recumbent bike. So quiet that I can turn on the tv in the den and exercise, without waking her in the bedroom at the end of the hallway.
We've only had it for a few weeks, but the build quality and warranty are some of the best in the business -esp for home use machines, so I expect long service from it.
