We bought this in February. The appliance does not take up much counter space and it really puts out the ice! We have it in our RV, so space was a consideration. It is sturdy, makes ice quickly and has really made a difference in our quality of living. The only drawback is the noise. It's a little loud, but we are in cramped quarters and that might be the problem. Great little item for the price!

The only problem so far is that the ice-making mechanism and procedure is pretty cool looking, so I have lost too much time watching the freeze then rapid thaw to release part. Great product. Very quiet, very quick.

Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Although I eat the ice faster than the machine can make it. I was spending as much as $4.00 dollars a day on bagged ice, now I just fill my container. I will say the I've had to wash it more frequently than I thougth I would ( like every three days or so) so that the ice doesn't taste funny, bu tother than that it great.

I bought this because I needed extra ice that my fridge ice maker couldn't keep up with as far as family usage. I was greatly surprised at the performance of this ice maker. It more than meets my expectations. It just keeps churning out those ice pellets like crazy. I use gallon size zip lock freezer bags to store the ice in and it is super conveinent! It makes the large size ice pellets in less than 10 minutes. I highly recommend this ice maker.

I purchased this ice maker to take camping and use it to keep ice in my ice chest. The ice cubes come in 2 sizes and the smaller ones come out within 15 minutes - but not many. If you don't empty out the tray, then it won't provide more cubes. I was hoping to not have to be there to empty the tray every 15 minutes. Otherwise this is an amazing product - runs quiety, large water reservoir, ice provided quickly, and the shapes of the small ones would be great for drinks.

A lot quieter than our other which lasted 2 years maybe but still had to put it elsewhere for the noise created when it dumped ice into the bin. Only bad part and it's not that bad but seems like when it hits that top part it stops because it's full. Overall just a good machine!

The Igloo works as described but if you are making a large amount of ice, you have to babysit the ice maker and keep the ice rotated out. It will stop producing ice when basket is full and that takes about an hour which makes about 1-2 lbs of ice.. I keep it running all day and dump into ice chest as needed. works great..

Works great, I use distilled water to make clear, clean ice. I store ice in gallon size freezer bags. You do have to empty tray into another container every 15 minutes or so to continue making ice. It's very quiet and fairly compact, fits right on the countertop.

This is my 2nd Igloo ice maker - the first completely stopped working just past 1 year old and well before that it was only producing ice on one side which made it extremely slow to get enough. Of course I had not bought the warranty (this time I did!). But this one was the best one for the money so I took a risk and bought the same brand again.
So far so good, I purposely waited a few weeks before posting a review to see how this machine performed and it has shown me what the first one should have done all along. Turn it on and you have a glass-full of ice in about 5 minutes (haven't timed it but it's quick!).
Makes small and large cubes - we've only used large so far. The ice basket only holds about 2 1/2 pounds when completely full (my estimate as a full gallon-size zip bag holds 5 pounds and when basket on this machine is full it fills about 1/2 the gallon bag) but since it's so much quicker than the other machine it adds up quickly. It's a little inconvenient to have to keep putting the ice up so often (other machine held 5 pounds) but I can deal. And even though it's smaller than my first one you do give up a good-sized chunk of counter space for these.
One small thing, the ice tends to build up higher on one side of the basket and the sensors "see" it and stop making ice until you've emptied it or raked the ice over to the other side. I wish it had some type of alarm or beep sound for this because I tend to forget about it until the ice has already started to melt a bit then it doesn't last as long in the iced tea we use the ice for.
But, other than that we love it. It takes up less space than the other one did, is not overly loud and does what we need - make extra ice for the iced tea we consume every day without us having to keep buying ice. We also use bottled water as our home well water doesn't make good-tasting ice.
