The picture and sound quality isn't as good as some of the more expensive TV's. Overall I rated it as a five because I wasn't expecting much and actually received better than what I was expecting. For the price that this TV was, I would recommend it to anyone unless you have money to blow on a more expensive TV.

MY ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THE ODOR THAT SEEMED TO CAUSE HEADACHES!!!
Overall, this is a very good product.
This seemed to smell like the packaging. It became stronger when turned on. It seemed to cause headaches. I tried 3 with the same result. I tried to find if this would cease over time,. Found little experience from anyone about this. Tried 3 other brands with the same result. Least odor came from Dynex and none from Olevia. Strongest odor came from Emerson.

The worst sound ever

I understand the price might affect your expectations but this one is the worst sound i ever heard since i was a kid. It sounds like one or both of the speakers are broken. The picture is OK, the look is OK, the features are passable but sounds is a total mess. I will need to go throught the hassle of returning it and i am an anti-returns person, i really am!!! Gosh!!! I will never get this kind of deals on black friday again... It is the second bad experience. Plus the shipping took longer than expected, i could pass that... But that my 5 years old (the one i got the TV for) asks me why the tv sounds so bad... impossible.

I was pleasantly surprised with the performance of this HDTV for the special price. Had no idea how it would perform till we hooked it up. We had no way to see this model running since it was a Black Friday special. WOW, it's a keeper! Outstanding picture quality, and a bargain price. What more do you need?

I received ours delivered to our house and the box was a little out of square. When I opened the box I saw that there was no buffer material between the box and the screen which concerned me. Didn't matter though. The TV had an excellent picture right out of the box. Fair sound, changes channels a little slow, but well worth the money.

I ordered this online at 3am on Black Friday. I got 2 for $198 ea. They were shipped for free within a week. They were advertised as having one HDMI slot and it actually has 3. It has a really nice picture quality and sound as well. I am incredibly impressed with this TV. We have it in our bedroom - it has a sleep timer. Our other TV had a way to program it so it would come on at a certain time but for the price, that's not missed! We have a TIVO hooked up to it and it was very simple to set up. Don't know how much I would have paid if this wasn't on such an incredible sale, but I can say now, that it's a very nice TV; I would buy another and recommend it to a friend.

Very disappointed in it straight out of the box. Smaller than I expected. Looked flimsy. Couldn't get a picture so I didn't rate that or sound. Power light stayed on for awhile after unplugged. Weird. Returned it immediately.

I purchased this 32" Emerson flat panel TV at 4am online on Black Friday 2010 for $198. I was expecting some lame-picture, featureless, weak sounding mass produced TV that I would regret. But for $198, I was tempted enough to buy one anyway. Well, let me say, so far this was the best Black Friday deal I have ever purchased. The picture is phenomenonally clear. The receiver picks up stations my other TVs can't. The sound is plentiful. I haven't had it long, so I may regret posting this glowing review after the 90 day warranty expires, but at this point, I can not believe what an incredible deal this was. I was able to buy it online while others were outside shivering waiting to bust in the door at 5:00am and race toward the electronics department. I'm not sure people realize that you can buy this stuff from the comfort of your home computer in the early morning hours. Anyway, that's my 2¢ worth.

The TV is a great size. The sounds are great on it but I only have one complaint the brightness isn't as bright as I would like. I did all the setting adjustments and still couldn't fix it. It is a great product for the price.
