Frigidaire's 10,000-BTU 115V casement/slider room air conditioner is the perfect solution for cooling rooms with casement windows and horizontal sliding windows up to 500 square feet. This unit is specifically designed for use with casement windows or sliding windows and is not suitable for standard (double-hung) window installation. Ready-select electronic controls allow you to easily select options with the touch of a button. The full-function remote control allows you to precisely control the temperature and fan speed from across the room. The multi-speed fan features three different fan speeds for more cooling flexibility and 4-way air direction control allows you to direct the air where you want it. The antimicrobial mesh filter cleans the air, removing harmful bacteria. Plus, quiet operation keeps you cool without keeping you awake.

Great A/C unit for side-sliding (casement) windows

This is one of only a few A/C units you can find that will work in non-standard windows. Even Home Depot doesn't sell these types of units. It was easy to install and works great. Average quietness. My wife is able to sleep now, which wasn't possible with the lower BTU portable A/C we had previously been using. Seems to have a good thermostat and operates on and off when in energy saver mode. Easily cools down my 15'x25' room in which it is installed.

Directions for install somewhat difficult

Received promptly from Walmart. Directions could have been a little clearer. Trying to determine incline away from window, no clear directions. Insulation given with unit not adequate. We are using in sliding window and there were no directions for this scenario as far we could find. Appears to work well but at the time mainly using for white noise and to cool closed bedroom during daily light hours due to working night shift. We have yet to use during a warm summer day.

Product is great. But the one we order from Walmart was delivered DAMAGED. My husband did know this until the window was out. So we had to hussle to find one some where else. Which was a pain.
We had to drive about 120 round trip to get another one.
Walmart, did refund our money back with no problem.
I can say that it was probably the shipper who damaged this product.
I would say that before going to the trouble to removing (casement window) plug in the air conditioner first.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this a/c,and it paid off.This a/c is great,it cools 2 large rooms and with a fan in the doorway,it helps cool another and back a hallway.Our cats are now cool cats and I enjoy the relief from the hot muggy weather too.This machine is quality.
