Quick review:
Leaves floors streak free
I dump old water out and add fresh after each room
The Hoover Multi Floor Cleaner is wonderful. It is kind of pricy but I use 1/2 recommended amount as I have a water softener.
I used it on 75 year old cabin linoleum floors and I could not believe how clean it got them. I finished the floors with a linoleum rejuvenator which I got at Walmart. Now I am not changing floors out. They look brand new and my family members were astounded at the difference.
Also I used on main home floors which are 3500 sq feet of tile. Works wonders Leaves floors clean and streak free. Takes about the same time as using a mop and bucket but floors are much cleaner.

Great floor cleaner

I live in Las Vegas and our house is about 75% tile, the beauty of the floor mate is its self contained. No more vacuuming first, then get the mop ready, wait about 45 mins for the floor to dry before putting stuff back. I can do a section at a time without any hassle. The vaccuum itself works pretty well, the scrubbing motion is good, I just found myself using a dish rag for a few spots that didn't come up (so what?), I love the dryer aspect, no streaks and the floor DOES feel cleaner in my opinion. I consider this a good purchase for the money, its a time-saver.

This is the second Hoover FloorMate I have owned. When the first one (which lasted many years) no longer functioned I thought I could do just as good a job on the kitchen floor with one of the newer mops on the market. My floor was starting to look horrible. This model FloorMate has been redesigned and is easier to use than ever. The on/off button is now on the top of the handle (it used to be close to the base of the model). In addition, it now has an easy to use dial that allows you to either vacuum, wash and dry or use the FloorMate as a wet vac. The brushes have been redesigned and I am extremely pleased with how clean they clean my floor. It's easy to use and very easy to clean. I highly recommend this and am sorry I waited so long to replace my first model.
The only thing about this model which I do not like is that it no longer has the little hook at the top of the handle to hold the cord in place while in use.
I've been recommending this to friends and family alike. The multi-surface wipes that are included as a "bonus" with this model are perfect for quick clean-up of small spills.

Our roughly ten year old (previous design) Hoover FloorMate finally started losing suction, so we wanted a replacement (we have tile floors in the main floor of our house, and the FloorMate does a fine job on them). This "bonus" model was less expensive than the same "non-bonus" model that I could have bought in the store, and was delivered (free) in just a few days. If you need a new FloorMate, this is a great deal.

great product used it several times. picks up everything from whole cherrios to dog hair. I should of got one years ago. from all the mops ive worn out i could of paied for one of these. only negative is up against the baseboards have to go back a couple of times to get the dirt. Mother of 4, 5 if you count my husband, have a dog and cat to.

If u have hard/tile flooring,this appliance is a MUST! I LoVe my Hoover Floormate,would not do w/out one if I had hard floors to mop. I got the extended warranty bcz it's def worth it,& Walmart had best price I could find in Brand New.Got it delivered straight to my home,even w/some cleaner inside,FREE. I love it,wouldn't catch me mopping by hand ever again! I throw a cup of water on all the very soiled spots,& press for the cleanser while it's mopping/vacuuming it all up. I Love It!

All of my floors are tile with the exception of a small carpeted area. This is saving my back over the mop and bucket. I have to wash my floors continually through the week between a large family and dogs. I am fanatical about a clean house and this is a lifesaver for my back. I love it.
If I had to make an improvement, I would love to see the option for a stiffer bristled brush. I could understand the softer on a hardwood floor, though for tile I would prefer a stiffer brush.

I was disappointed with this product. It looks nice but lacks of strong suction to pick up all the water. Additionally, the brush is too soft to be effective in scrubbing the hard surfaces.

I purchased with some concern after reading a bad review; nothing to worry about. The unit performed as expected. I was amazed at the amount of dirt that came up after having cleaned just two days prior with a steam cleaner. The dry function left the floor virtually dry immediately. I was very pleased with its performance.

I saw this Hoover Floormate at my daughters house and saw her using it one day. I was very impressed by the ease of which she used it and the results when she was done. It works better than anything I have used in the past for my ceramic tile floor and my hardwood floors. I would recommend this product to anybody.

I'm disabled and was used to doing my floors on my hands and knees, same when waxing floor, but was thrilled when I saw this advertised and had a hard time finding it in my area. Anyhow, it is great while it lasts, but as I've not even used it 15 times ,it's a bit irritating that the suction to pick up the water no longer works, so beware of this problem, heck maybe the improved one will last longer.
But when it did work ,it made things easier on my back and that was the point. I loved walking on my floors rt after I cleaned them because you can definetly feel the difference.

This is probably the sixth FloorMate I've owned over the past twelve years. Obviously, I like the machines if I keep buying them. We have a lot of slate floor in my home and a lot of traffic. I wouldn't expect a non-commercial model not to wear out after a while.
This model has significant improvements over previous FloorMates. The brushes have longer bristles and the suction system has better surface drying capability.
Every time I buy a new one, the price has dropped from the previous purchase.
I ordered this one with the 97 cent 'ship to home' option, which promised to arrive in five to seven days. It was on my doorstep on day three!
Put me down for an A+++ rating.

Don't waste your time or money on this. Brought it home and used it once. The second time I tried to use it the wash cycle didn't work.
I contacted the customer service and got no response.
I must say that the one time it worked it did a good job on my tile. But its a very expensive piece of machinery for a one time use.

This unit beats getting on your knees with a scrub brush BUT it takes almost as long. Just using a hand mop for light jobs is much faster. The unit gets up some (not all) of the heavy traffic but you must change/add fresh water every couple of minutes...the tank is tiny. The whole process is very annoying and doesn't do a great job!!
