My little 4 yo granddaughter asked only for a "real" violin for her fifth birthday. She was so happy when she opened the case. She "practices" every morning and evening. She takes very good care of it and I believe that is because it does not resemble a toy in any way. We are in the proces of looking for a violin teacher for her as her interest has not waned. The violin is just the right size for her also. We are very pleased with this purchase.
