Although this was built for business use, I'm using this as a media server loaded with 4 2T hard drives. Segate recommends their own drives but any brand can be used. (Please note that the hard drives are sold seperately.) Setup is easy if you are familiar with this type of technology but novices may need some help (setting up shared folders, permissions & so on). Installing hard drives is a snap, managing the unit is browser-based and can be accessed by any computer connected to the unit. This unit does have a built in processor, 4 USB (2.0) ports (wish they were 3.0) for even more hard drives or other devices, and has 2 network connections for dual connection or as redundancy. Please note that backup licenses cost extra (I was disapponted that one didn't come included.) The media server works great with PS3s and I'm sure it will work with other devices (just check the formats supported by your device). I am very pleased with what this unit can do on the personal side and feel confident that it would perform equally as well on the business side. Final note: Do NOT buy the 3 yr extended warranty because it starts the day of the purchase and the unit already comes with a 3 yr warranty.
