Not only is the Shuffle the easiest to use ( I've had many other one trick ponies ) it's also the most intuitive. There's nothing simpler out there thanks to Apple's famed and reliable click wheel. I'm glad they went back to it after their 3rd generation Shuffle that basically flopped. It's one of those designs that can't be improved upon. There are many imitations but the Apple design is the benchmark by which all others are judged. I also like the gap less between songs feature. The next song plays right after the one before it. And the build quality is second to none, aluminum construction makes it almost indestructible. The sound quality is bright and clear after you lose the stock earphones and get a better quality set. I'm glad I bought the Shuffle and wish I didn't spend my money on all the plastic imitations. I am recommending everybody buy this player if you just want to listen to music.

I love the iPod Shuffle. It is so compact and easy to take with you everywhere and the sound is great. It holds just under 500 songs and that's amazing.

I bought the ipod shuffle after having both my other ipods break on me. I run with my ipod, and I suppose the sweat must have made the device malfunction. The touch-sensitive dials were what became erroneous. But the ipod shiuffle has a clickable wheel that isn't touch-sensitive for changing the volume, so this product is much more durable than my other ipods. Also, it doesn't hurt that it costs me less than $45. I really enjoy the ipod shuffle, and it has just enough memory to keep me entertained with a new assortment of music every time I go running.

Overall fine, but there are things I don't like

My old shuffle was no longer holding a charge for more than 45 minutes. I can't complain. After five years, it didn't really owe me anything. I came to Walmart.com to get a new shuffle.
For the most part, the new shuffle if fine. However, I do miss how I could control the order of songs by simply clicking on the Shuffle icon in iTunes and moving the songs around. For whatever reason, Apple chose to make it like the iTouch and Nano.
If I want songs in a specific order, I have to create a play list, put the songs in the order I want, then add the list to the iPod. It's extra work that shouldn't be required.
One item I really like is the voice over. While I usually know the song(s) I'm listening to, it's nice to be able to push a button and have the voice tell me, if I should forget.
In summery, the Shuffle is a good MP3 player, and worth the cost. Even with the items I don't like, I still recommend it. And it's not too expensive at Walmart.com.

I bought this for working out. I love the small, light-weight, compact size. It also has a clip that makes it easy to clip to my shirt or pants. The earbuds are a little big for my ears and tend to fall out but I bought another (non-name brand) pair and they work and sound just as great!

Difficult to turn power swith on & ITunes Crashes

Bought for my blind wife to listen to audio books. Plays okay but difficult to get power switch in correct position to play books. Also difficult to load MP3 files from computer. Requires ITunes software that crashes several times before getting a book loaded with all fiels in correct order.

It's a good value for the price but it's not as practical as I had hoped. Although being compact is a plus, it's too small to operate without accidentally hitting the wrong controls. Also, the memory is not sufficient.

For the price, this product is GREAT. However, I'm still trying to figure out how to put more than 2 CDs on this thing. Guess I'll have to ask my 8 yr old granddaughter - kind of wanted to keep it a secret since I bought it for her for her upcoming birthday.
