My kids and husband bought me this for Christmas. Since then I have used it at least once or twice a week. It is obviously not the super fancy expensive model, but for the money you can't beat it. It has two recipes in the book both of which I have used and are easy and good. Clean up is easy, operation simple. I love it and my kids love it!

Don't Waste Money on This

I purchased this item on 12/12/12 before reading the reviews. I was concerned when I read about the flimsy handle but decided to give it a chance before returning it to the store. The handle didn't seem like the sturdiest material but I thought it would be OK. You have to be careful to turn in the right direction (product only flips 180 degrees) so if you turn to the right in order to flip it over you have to turn back to the left. Because the handle is so flimsy, if you turn the wrong direction or try lifting the lid when it's upside down it can easily brake. I took it to my sister's house to make waffles for the first time. My nephew plugged it in and in less than one minute called me to the kitchen to show me it had broken. I saw that a screw on the lid was loose and there was glue around the screw. I could not use a household screwdriver because there was a weird star shaped thing in the middle of the screw and the screwdriver couldn't grip it and it looked like the end of the screw had broken (it was flat instead of pointy). I replaced it with a Black & Decker waffle maker under $20. It doesn't rotate but all you have to do is spread the batter into the edges and the waffles come out perfectly. You don't need to waste money on a rotating waffle iron but if you choose to buy one, spend the extra 10 or 15 bucks for one of better quality that won't brake if you breath on it wrong or let a man touch it.

I must admit I haven't been able to get a chance to actually use the waffle maker, but I have tasted the outcome which its fabulous. My boyfriend uses it and will never let me touch it and I bought it! Lol Any product that gets him to cook for me without nagging is great!

I was hesitant to purchase this after reading some of the reviews. This is the one my daughter wanted so I bought it yesterday. We tried it this morning and it worked great! The waffles came out easy and cooked just right. I did not even put butter or a spray on it like the instructions said, and they did not stick! So far I am extremely happy with it!!

I bought the GE waffle maker on a whim without reading reviews or comparisons. I brought it home and mixed up some Krusteaz Belgian waffle mix according to the box and it came out perfect. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and have no problems. My family loves the waffles. They come out crisp and light.

I had used flip waffle makers a motels with breakfast rooms. Loved them. Then saw very expensive ones for sale then discovered a good price and no shipping charges for pickup at the store. Then we got it promptly and started in making them. It has been used a lot. I make at least one every other day. Different recipes like strawberry shortcake and pumpkin pancake which worked perfectly. No stick with this maker! The recipe in the booklet is good, too. The handy measure cup is great to always get the correct amount of batter or it will come out the edges and be hard to clean up.

I got mine in October and have been using it pretty much every week since I got it. I loved it so much that I got another one to bring over to my parents over the holidays. We are both using it regularly and are super pleased with it. My sister now wants her own too!! I have used different waffle mix with it and noticed that they all cook and taste different, so I guess that the taste (and whether they burn or not) depends on the batter not the waffle maker (my favorite is the one they sell at krogers).

I received this item as a Chritmas gift and there were pieces broken off in three different places within the black plastic. My mother exchanged it for a new one and it was also broken. I personally returned it to a different Walmart and checked it before I even took it to the register and it was broken in a similar manner also. Three different Walmarts, in three different cities and all with the same issue. It has to be a design flaw. I ended up purchasing a different brand and have had no problem. I do not recommend this product at all and think that GE should have a recall and go back to the drawing board on this one!

The GE Rotating Flip Waffle Maker is a great buy for the price. I bought it yesterday, used it this morning. Followed directions in the book - my first try was terrible-I opened it too soon and had to dig it out. Second time I brushed the waffle plates lightly with cooking oil and it worked excellent. Waffles were delicious! Easy to store and attractive looking.

I bought this for christmas for my mother. She used it one time and the little screws that are under the iron fell off in the machine and the top part of the waffle iron was dangling off. it still worked but she we returned it. we got another more sturdy non rotating waffle maker that works much better.

Maybe I got a defective waffle iron, but I doubt it. The problem I had is there is a very dark circle (smells burnt) and in a 1/4 of the waffle it is just barely cooked. I think GE should stick to making light bulbs and jet engines, this thing is going back.

I got this for my 8 year daughter for Christmas, and she loves it. I made the first batch to see how it worked and then she made another batch by herself. The design is so simple and easy to use. The non-stick on it its truly non-stick. This is so easy to clean! No crusty caked on waffle mix to deal with. It all just wipes off. I would recommend this waffle maker over the other more expensive ones I have used. I did find that if you use Belgian Waffle mix you need to leave them in a little longer then when the green light flips on. The thicker the batter the more time you will need.
