I have only had the heater for a couple of weeks and am using it in a small office. It seems to provide plenty of heat. I would agree that it has an upward projection of heat and that you can definately hear the fan. I have used a wide variety of small heaters and wouldn't call it "noisy"...I think it is pretty comparable (heat/noise) to 99% of all the heaters in its class. Only time will tell if its going to be reliable and long lasting.

As soon as i received this heater i turned it on and it started smelling like burned plastic and shut itself off over and over again..Would not stay on for more than five minutes..Returned it the same day..What a waste..

Good heater. Makes it warm in the room I have it in and it is very quiet. Only drawback is you must reprogram the temperature you want it to stay at each time you turn it on, unless you use 8 hour timer feature.

Electricity drainer

The first day I plugged in the heater was terrible because my electricity went out. I kept going back and forth to the power box to turn the power back on. After loosing power three times within 30 minutes, I realized the electric heater was taking too much of the power. I unplugged the heater and no longer had problems with loosing electricity. I will return this heater and get a different one that has the energy saver stamp of approval. This purchase was a waste of my time and money. I would not recommend this product to any customer.

We bought this to replace the Optimus electric 9" dish heater, (#HEOP4110), that died on us after only two months.
This is a much better heater that is still fairly small and of course, puts out much more heat. So far it's been working great but we've only been using it about two weeks.
We're crossing our fingers and hoping that this lasts.

Fast heating Electric Heater

Started it up to see if I got heat right away and I did. I was very impressed on the heater. It doesn't take too much room and does a nice job of heating. I haven't had it long enough to use it like I'm planning to, but with everything I tried to do with the heater, it worked great. You can seat the temperature to come on when you want and well as shut off for a period of time and then come on again to maintain equal heat. I consider this a good buy since I especially got it on sale.

I bought this little space heater because I am on the bottom floor of my condo and the AC/Heat unit kept cutting on because the air comes from the ceiling and it never got warm enough. I later learned if I turn my ceiling fan on it will create a vortex and keep the heat down and AC/Heat unit off more. Regardless I love this little heater. It does the job and I have owned it for about 4 months, I am not too sure, but it works great. Instead of running the central air I just take it with me to the kitchen or whatever room I go in and it heats up the area pretty quickly!
It is actually great quality and I am a stickler for quality and as far as an investment it was much better selection than in my local Walmart's. As far as I am concerned I have already gotten my money's worth. I noticed my heating bill has gone down as well!

It's safe for kids and pets. It has a thermostat and 8 hour timer. It's compact, light and portable. And it does what it says...it keeps you warm. It spreads out the heat and gets the room toasty not boiling hot. Love it!

Bought this heater for an enclosed patio room, that is very well insulated. I had to add a pet door to the sliding door so the dogs would have better protection from the weather. With this heater, I am able to set the thermostat and it maintains the temp that is set very well. I am happy, and the dogs are even happier. I did mount the heater onto a heavier base so that it not be able to be overturned. I knew it would turn off if overturned, but I wanted to be sure since it was being used while I was away from home. Excellent product. This is the second year I have used it. In the late spring, I put a protective cover over it to keep it clean. I would recommend it to anyone.

SMALL IN SIZE,AND DELIVERS , i,m using in the kitchen, room size 8 by 13 and it keeps it very comfortable, i like that it shows the room temp. and love that its compact yet delivers. Housing of unit is cool to touch , front grill of coarse is hot ,where all the heat comes out. Works as well as my tower heater that has become too noisy to operate. I recommend buying this, also it delivers 2 wattage , it runs all the time on lower wattage setting. Lower wattage keeps room a constant temp. and auto works like a furnace on and off as temp. setting is met. Goes 2 degrees above temp. setting then goes off.

I love the heater. I have an unfinished basement and needed a new heater for watching tv and playing games that gets very cold. This heater is amazing. I even had to turn it down because it was putting out so much heat! Get this heater!!

I bought this unit after completing a 30-day trial of a $200+ Infrared heater I saw on an infomercial. That unit was supposed to handle up to 600 sq ft -- not even close. I bought
the Lasko as a stop-gap measure until I had decided on my next choice in Infrared models.
I'm happy to report that the Lasko exceeds my performance expectations. It's quieter than
the $200 unit I returned, too! Very good bang for the buck.
