The Crock-Pot SCCPVP700-S Programmable Slow Cooker does the thinking, so you don't have to. This 7 quart slow cooker is large enough for seven pound roast. You can cook for nine or more people comfortably with this slow cooker. It features one-touch control and has multiple time and temperature settings. Simply place the ingredients, set the desired cooking time and temperature, and go about your day. With the automatic shift to warm mode, it will automatically shift to the "Warm" setting once the pre-selected cooking time is complete. The Crock-Pot slow cooker comes with a built-in thermometer, countdown timer, and much more. It consumes less energy than conventional ovens. The removable oval stoneware can be used to serve the meals too. With an attractive stainless finish, this fits into the dcor of any kitchen. As both the stoneware and lid are dishwasher safe, cleaning this Crock-Pot slow cooker will not require extra effort.

Great crockpot with lots of capacity. One downside is the control panel is a sticker. This is my second time using it and the sticker is starting to peel off on one edge, so it won't be looking nice for long. Also, I find that the programming time limits you -- put in a roast and will be heading to church but won't be home to re-start the time since it only gives you 2 time settings on high and 2 time settings on low. Will be returning it to get a manual crockpot.

We really like it. Just make sure to allow enough time for everything to cook. More cooking area and if you are cooking a large amount, use the longer time to ensure everything is done.

Review 4 for Crock-Pot 7-Quart Programmable Slow Cooker
My oldest grandson was moving into his first apartment - 800 miles away. He bought absolute necessities but very much wanted a crock pot. We communicated online and decided on this Crock Pot. I ordered the item early in the day and it arrived at his apartment the very next day ! He has been very satisfied with the crock pot and especially likes it's generous 7 quart size. I also ordered liners (because I think they are wonderful) and the extended warrantee (because I do not want to worry about problems).

WOW! I'm so disappointed in this crock-pot! It didn't completely cook our meal the first time I used it. So I had to put it on the stove to finish cooking our dinner after it had been in the crock ALL DAY on high for like 9 hours!! So I thought maybe I just needed to partially cook the beans on the stove before putting them in the crock this time. (even tho they soak all night) SO I boiled the beans on the stove to get them partially cooked then put them and all the ingredients in the crock pot and 7 hours later on high THE BEANS ARE STILL NOT COOKED ALL THE WAY!!! Omheavens! I'm so done with this product! It's going back and I would advise anyone who wants to make meals from scratch not purchase this products because it's worthless and a HUGE INCONVENIENCE AND WASTE OF TIME! If your just going to through in some caned foods or something already cooked to heat it up and make a meal that way you'd probably be okay, but for actually cooking food this thing is a JOKE!

I bought this crock pot less than a year ago and absolutely loved it. For the price it was a great deal! I cook in mine probably 15 times a month over about 8-9 months. My crock pot has quit working already. It will light up but not heat up. Seeing as I will have to replace it already it's not that good of a deal. Just beware...will not be buying this one again.

Love the size and style of the crockpot. I can fit all my vegetables in with my meat without any problem now. My last crockpot did not allow the food to be put on warm and this one has that feature. Very pleased with my purchase!

Review 9 for Crock-Pot 7-Quart Programmable Slow Cooker
I GOT THIS POT IN RED FOR MYSELF BEFORE CHRISTMAS LAST YEAR AND I JUST GOT THE STAINLESS COLORED ONE FOR MY SON AND HIS WIFE IN CALIFORNIA. IT IS WONDERFUL! WE CAN PUT SOMETHING ON TO COOK OVERNIGHT AND ADD THE REST OF THE INGREDIENTS THE NEXT MORNING AND HAVE A WONDERFUL, HEALTHY MEAL READY WITH A MINIMUM OF ATTENTION TO THE THE FOOD. JUST TOUCH THE DIGITAL SETTINGS AND WHEN IT IS DONE IT WILL SHIFT TO "WARM" FOR YOU SO IT WILL NOT OVERCOOK.

Review 11 for Crock-Pot 7-Quart Programmable Slow Cooker
I can't rate durability because I've only had the product a couple of months. However, so far it has been great. Seems to be a solid product. Great size for cooking a roast, with plenty of room for the potatoes and carrots. I am very happy with my purchase.

I researched before I bought. The last crockpot I owned was a hamilton beach, and I loved it, However exactly one year after purchase it stopped working for no apparent reason. So I decided this time to research and purchase a different brand. I've only had this for a couple of months, I use it about 3 times a week and so far, it's by far the easiest and most convenient crockpot I've owned. The price was excellent, so if it last longer than a year I feel the purchase was well worth the 2 months I had to wait for Walmart to restock it. This must be a popular crockpot, because Walmart is always out of stock. So far I love it and would recommend it.

Great Purchase!

We have been using an older 5 Quart crock pot with turn nobs that would burn the food as it only had High/Low and Off. My wife and I cook for 4 kids, so we were in need of something bigger and easier. She loves it, loves the oval size and capacity. Knowing that we can program the time, and then automatically goes to warm is a huge help. Means we don't have to keep checking to make sure it's not burning, etc. I am happy to say that the old crock pot is gone! Great purchase, capacity is perfect! Best of all is; my wife is happy!! Recommend to anyone with a family with more than 2 people...

Quality Control Issue

These words are from another reviewer. I had the same experience so I copied and pasted and edited as needed. The lid did not fit. The stoneware did not fit. We did not use it. We took it back to Walmart.
We bought this thing from the store. It came new in a sealed box, with all sealed parts. Regardless of the ability to cook food, let me tell you what was in the box: 1. The body of the crock pot. So far so good. 2. The stoneware component. This does not fit properly inside the body and slides around freely, with between a quarter and a half inch all the way around. It is not the same shape as the body precisely. 3. The lid. The lid has a plastic cover under the handle that fills up with water when washed. The lid does not sit evenly in the stoneware bowl. The shape and size of the lid bears little resemblance to the actual stoneware bowl. This must just be a quality control error, a bad batch of the things. It almost seems like the stoneware was from a different pot than the body, thus the lid did not fit. The stoneware was labeled 6 QT. it should have not been in the box with the 7 QT. cooker.

I love crock pots and when my niece mentioned that her's was on the fritz I decided that for her birthday I would get her one. This was the best choose with great features. I decided that I would have Walmart mail directly to her instead of it coming to me and I having to mail to her. Ordered on a Friday and she had the next day!!. Great delivery time!! Thanks

Review 18 for Crock-Pot 7-Quart Programmable Slow Cooker
Its a Crock-Pot! Their reputation proceeds them and it worked like a charm right out of the box. The only 'concern' I have (and always have had) is that the aluminum shell which holds the pots itself gets WAY too hot. Its too bad they can't do something to insulate that a bit, other than that the meals it has cooked are outstanding and its works perfectly.

I went from a 4 quart to this and LOVE IT! I just put a 5 lb corned beef with all the fixings on for 10 hours and it came out fantastic. Plenty of room and I love that it turns itself to warm after cooking time. Great value and a brand you can count on.
