It gives a good amount of light, but not to bright, which is nice. Because it uses three AAA batteries, the base makes it a little heavy when the light is clipped on a book. But overall it is a nice light.

Besides the other uses already mentioned, these are a very inexpensive and quite impressive way to illuminate framed artwork on a wall! Just clip to top of the frame, turn it on and adjust to your liking. Ordered 3and love that price.

I love it!!!! Just got it 1 day ago and already enjoy it. I like the fact that it has a dim light also. I read alot so hope to get lots of use out of it. hope the batteries last a long time like everyone else has said they do. I would recommend it. my only complaint would be that it was hard to get the battery compartment open the first time, thought I was going to break it. Eventually got it.

Not only do I use it when reading in bed, I use it as a night light while getting ready for bed.
I keep it clipped to the back of my glasses holder stand when not using it for reading.
I also like that it uses 3 AAA batteries that I normally have on hand.

I love to read in bed at night and my wife prefers to sleep. This is the perfect compromise. Lightweight, fantastic illumination, and the flexible neck is very useful. My wife is happy and has not complained once about the light coming from this product.

Almost perfect book light

The 3 LED's are spaced so you get terrific coverage of both pages of book. There are 2 settings, first click gives perfect full lighting and second click is a softer light. I have severe dry eye which makes it more challenging to see in the dark without sufficient light. This booklight provides enough light whereas most do not.
I titled the review "almost perfect". The light tends to slip a bit sometimes. To be perfect, the manufacturer would have put the non slip pad on the underside of both ends of the clamp. I am going to try to put a piece of non slip material on the end that doesn't have one already. Works beautifully on my tablet as well. YAY and thank you for such a great multi task light!

this light is especially helpful for those of us who as we get older need more light to see, it works so well that when I read at night I turn off all of the other lights in the room. The LED is very efficient, I have read for many hours since purchasing the light and have yet to replace the batteries. I would definitely recommend this product.
