I do like this set but there are quite a few non durable pieces made of flimsy cardboard (10-15 pieces) that were wrecked in the first 2 days. The plastic pieces are wonderful and durable

I purchased this for my son when he was 18 months old. There are some items made of cardboard he destroyed, but other than that, the set has held up very well! You can't beat the selection for the price and I'm sure an older child would handle the more delicate items better than he did.

This set was included with the purchase of a kid craft kitchen. It's a great selection of food, but poor quality. The cardboard pieces are already collapsing with very minimal play. To their credit. I don't think I've ever seen cardboard pieces last.

You can see this has a lot of little pieces. Make sure that you buy some kind of storage device that the little pieces like the little hot dogs won't fall through. It came with a few cardboard objects that really didn't stand up to my young children, or being thrown in the toy box with other food toys on top of them, but they still have so many other foods left over I'm not even bothered a few didn't last. All in all the kids love it and it offers a great variety of types of food.

The Good - There was TONS of different types of food. My kids got a kick out of the french fries and ice cream.
The Bad- I knew the card board boxes wouldn't last long, and I was right. Ended up throwing them away after just a couple of days. It wasn't very heavy duty cardboard either, so it was easily destroyed by my 3 year old.

My granddaughter loves this set. The only drawback is that some of the items are cardboard and will not hold up very long as she is only two, and some are not to scale. But the rest of the pieces are made well.

The plastic food is perfect for 2 year olds who are going to just put it in their mouth or get it lost. The cardboard food is a waste of space but I think they just needed more food so they could say, "125 pieces". But for the price, you get a decent share. If the recipient is older than three, I would recommend some more durable pieces. You will get less pieces for the amount, but they will be better suited.

I bought this set for my 2 year old to go with the kitchen and grill she received for Christmas. Overall it is a good value; however, the cardboard items are flimsy and the cardboard wrapping on the fries keeps falling off after only 2 days of play. Also the ice cream comes we're broken. The ice cree keeps falling off the cone. This being said, you get a lot of stuff for your money.
