I bought this flat iron after returning the andis because it just wasn't doing a good enough job on my hair. I figured I'd try every flat iron out there till I found one that worked for my hair starting with the cheapest. I bought this one feeling like I would be disappointed as I have been with previous flat irons purchased from wal-mart but much to my surprise this is probably one of the best I've owned! I would put it up there with the GVP because that's the most expensive flat iron I've owned. For a little over $30, this was a steal! I have very stubborn,thick,wavy hair and it straightened it with 1 pass,leaving my hair very sleek also! I love that it's digital and the colors are very appealing. Also it beeps when it's heated up completely and only takes 15 sec. to get there which is what it claims! This is only my 1st time to use it so I just hope it lasts! It almost seems too good to be true! I would definitely recommend this flat iron to anyone! If it worked on my hair, most likely it will work on yours too!

This was absolutely amazing for a while but after less than a year it broke on me. I was trying to straighten my hair and it kept shutting off as it was trying to warm up and now it wont turn on at all. I am very displeased with what happened because I don't even know why it happened.

I've had this straightener for a little over a year now and it's served me well. I have long, thick hair and it never snags my hair and I like that there are different heat settings. It has gone through alot of abuse from traveling in a suitcase often and it's held up well until one side wouldn't heat up yesterday. I'm sure it would have lasted longer if I'd been more gentle with it.

Good straightener. Heats up quickly and won't pull your hair like some straighteners do. I was disappointed when after less than two years one side stopped heating after occasional use. The last Remington straightener I owned lasted me four years and I straightened my hair almost daily with it. Overall this was a nice straightener while it worked and pretty good looking too. Looks just like you would expect.

The first time I purchased this flat iron was 3 or 4 years ago for around $25 dollars. It held up for about how long the package predicted and I was so pleased that I purchased it again! The flat iron glides very smoothly and makes even the curliest hair silky smooth! I'm looking forward to another great 3+ years with the iron and think that is a great deal considering the price!

I love, love, love this hair straightener. This hair straightener is a great value. It heats up in 15 seconds which is so fast. It also makes my hair perfectly straight, smooth, shiny and silky. The ceramic plates are very smooth and glide through my hair with ease. It also comes with a warranty that lasts a few years. I would recommend this to any one that has fine, delicate hair and thin to medium thickness.

I purchased this flat iron and used it today for the first time. It works perfectly for me, and what I like the most about this product is that it heats up really quickly. It is very manageable, and it took me half the time (about 30 minutes) to get all my hair done compared to my previous flat iron. although it can reach 450 degrees, a temperature of 380 degrees worked pretty well for my thin wavy hair.

I was on the hunt for a new iron to replace my Amika Obliphica Ceramic Styler that is broken. Because of mine and my daughter's hair type I can't just use any iron and I don't like to waste money. I can say this iron is way better than the Amika, way better. I am getting my Amika replaced since it is still under warranty but I am in love with the Remington S9500 Pearl Ceramic 1" Flat Iron. This iron (along with heat protection) left our hair silky smooth with much body and shine. I will be purchasing the 2" and look into the blow dryer.

I have crazy thick curly/kinky hair and this has been by far the best straightener I have ever used! ! ! ive tried them all this is even comparing this product to the Marcel flat iron, and Chi… Ill never switch to another product and for a ¼ of the price , I Just cant believe it.. I bought this product because its a Remington. And usually there products are great, but not this one! I got it before school started, and it worked great at first. But then one evening, It decided to just flat out quit! It lasted about 2 weeks. I have to admit, During those 2 weeks, my hair was great. It never pulled, but it did give me bad split ends. Which I could easily take care of. But my point is, If your just buying this product in the mean time, Go ahead. But if you're looking for a long lasting straighter, Save you're money. Not worth it!

i have had mine sense they first came out, and that's awhile, but it has never failed me once!!! its really great! i can straighten or curl my hair with the same iron. who could ask for better! i love it!!! only reason for getting a new one today is my roommate had repeatedly dropped it and broke it..

This is the second purchase of this item for my daughter that uses a hair straightener every day and she loves it. She has had the much higher priced straighteners oftered at other stores but prefers this model. It heats quickly, does not pull hair and lasts longer than the higher priced brands did.

I have relatively thin, slightly wavy, chin length hair. This straightener slides so smoothly and does not pull my hair. I only have to go over each section of my hair one time to straighten it. My last straightener took 3-4 times. This makes styling my hair much faster in the mornings which is awesome!

I bought this product 3 months ago & one day I turned it on to use it, the second I started using it on my hair it shut off. Thought maybe I accidentally hit the button so turned it on & tried again. Same thing. Even tried it a third time. I am not happy with this product at all. I have used hair straighteners for quite a few years everyday so I've had quite a few different ones & this one is by far the worst.
