Get a comfortable workout that delivers real results with the Golds Gym Power 390 R Exercise Bike. Featuring iFit Workout Card Technology, this bike delivers 8 weeks of progressive workouts, coaching from a Certified Personal Trainer and automatic resistance control. The Power 390 R Exercise Bike also offers 12 built-in workouts so you can get on, press start and get going! Other features include a Compatible Music Port for iPod, 12 digital resistance levels, a dual-grip heart rate monitor and a 250 lb. weight capacity.
Cons: first thing I did was remove the cup holder. Who is going to reach in between their legs while riding when they could have easily attached it to the hear rate handles. Constantly hit my knees against the handles on the monitor. The seat adjustment always moves, I had to back the bike up against an end table and set my sub-woofer in front of it, yet it still moves. I have rode a recumbent bike for over five years for one hour every morning religiously and this bike is terrible. I would return it but I live out of the country. Whoever designed this bike does not ride a bike.

Review 2 for Gold's Gym Power 390 Recumbent Bike
Great stationary bike with comfortable seat!

I absolutely love this bike! It is comfortable, in fact I often stay on it longer than I intend to! It was easy to put together with my husbands help, he has one of those great minds, probably would have taken me a bit longer, but I could have done it as well.
There are multiple settings to level up to, I have had the bike 4 months and I now on level 5. It is not loud at all, easy to set bike and read. As you warm up, about 15 minutes in, I turn on the fan on low which creates a nice gentle breeze almost like riding out in the open air.
It is a great value and doesn't take up much room. My husband occasionally uses it and the length is easily adjusted. And if you need tout it away for more room for company, it is easily to maneuver.
I give it a thumbs up! Check out my squidoo lens on stationary bikes!

Review 3 for Gold's Gym Power 390 Recumbent Bike
Worst experience ever with a company & product.

Bought the product first week of Jan for exercise. Built it, but on first attempt to use the bike would not function. Contacted company, and they recommended new batteries ($8.00ea x). Tried that, didn't work. Contacted company (2), they sent out a reprogramming chip (3 wk wait). Reprogrammed, didn't work. Contacted company (3), they sent out wire harnesses. Tried that, didn't work. Contacted company (4), they sent out parts and a repair tech (4 wk wait). Technician arrived and tried 2 repairs, stated that the problem had mis-diagnosed, and said that the company should have known on the first call the main board was bad. He ordered new part.... After 4 weeks no part and nobody has arrived. With 2 days left on the return policy I took the bike back to store. Wasted 3 months, got no value, and wasted many hours of time... besides the cost of batteries. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Contacted company... no response.

Review 4 for Gold's Gym Power 390 Recumbent Bike
Took over a week to completely assemble

So I read the reviews here before purchasing and purchased it anyway. It was a great price which is what actually made me go ahead an buy it. I'm just waiting for the belt to break any day now, but aside from that I have to first say it works pretty well. No backlight on the lcd display is a thumbs down so youll need some light to read it. Assembly wasnt hard but why did it take me over a week to assemble? Because even though the box was sealed, stapled (not restapled) and taped shut, it had parts missing. Amazing. I called golds gym , registered it, and it was almost like they expected it to not have all the parts. It was no problem for them to ship me what was missing.
What was missing was the lower handle bars which have the pulse monitor pads. So just to be safe i looked at the exploded parts list and asked them not just for the missing handle bars but each individual part that went on the handle bars including the necessary wiring. Good thing i did because yeah the handle bars came naked. Took me a while to thread the wires for the pulse pads. then i realized i didnt ask for the 2 screws which secured the pulse pads in place so i had to dig around the house to find some that would work. The original parts did come with the 2 bolts and nuts needed to secure the handle bars.
So thats my story. Pulse pads work properly and i'm gonna install some backlight for the lcd on my own.

Good solid product. The comments about the LED screen being too dim are not accurate to me. Even if you have low lighting it shows up bright. The only time I can't see it well is when it's dark. Also wanted to comment that Ship To Store was free and I had my product from final mouse click to in my home in 5 days.

First off, the Dept. manager of sporting goods was tremendous. Knowlegeable and professional. They put this product together solid. When we got it home and in place, I turned it on and it WORKED!....For about 10 seconds and the control panel died. Then the agravation started. Tried calling Gold's Gym service center. Three times...put on hold.. by electronic voice...each time for over 50 min. to no avail. Never would answer. Then found a so called live chat. They were useless. Called Walmart back, again very professional and they told me to just bring it back. I did, and ordered a Schwinn exercise bike. Now waiting. I would NEVER ever buy a Gold's Gym product again. They are the WORST!

The bike was easy to assemble and set up. The materials feel as good as any exercise bike I've used in the gym. The only weaknesses I see is that the display isn't back lit so using the bike in low light can be difficult unless you don't need to see the screen display. I also wish that the heart rate monitor wasn't inconsistent in measuring heart rate. The monitor tends to jump around a bit when I use it but that could be due to my hand placement. Otherwise this is a great way to raise the heart rate and warm up the muscles. The seat is comfortable and the mechanics are very smooth.

Review 8 for Gold's Gym Power 390 Recumbent Bike

Ordered the bike on line, had shipped to store, had assembled at store (that part went smooth as silk), brought it home, resistance was so tight you couldn't peddle it. Contated the Golds Gym #, said not to call the store. A rep told me someone would call me in about a week to schedule an appt., amazingly, service person called the same day and came out that evening. Said the resistance motor & another part were bad ! He said he'd order, after 10 days, I called today, they said the part had not been ordered yet. I'm returning the bike to Walmart tomorrow, approaching the 30 day mark and we still can't use it. Super dissappointed

Works great, my only problem with the bike is I'd rather have had the seat adjust from the seat, instead of the floor. Works quietly and smoothly.

Excellent bike for the money. Easy to assemble. Buy a $20 "ProForm 6-Volt AC Power Adapter" (online at Walmart) instead of using batteries. 90 day warranty, so check it out asap., or buy the optional Walmart warranty...My wife and I are completely satisfied.

I was quite happy with this bike when I first got it. In store it worked better then the others and at home it repeated performance. About three months out it started making noises. The pedals got unstable and it started to feel unbalanced. One of the pedal straps snapped. I called Icon (the company that handles support) and since I was still barely in warranty they sent a technician out and he fixed the problem (the ball barrings were not seated correcting when the bike was manufactured). Five months later, both straps on the pedals (including the replacement) have broken and console is starting to reset during workouts. I contact Icon again, but since it is out of warranty they can not replace it. It is $204 dollars to replace if I bought the part from them. I won't be buying Icon again. This includes Epic Fitness, Gold's Gym Home Fitness, HealthRider, NordicTrack, ProForm, Reebok Home Fitness, Weider, and Weslo.

Sooo disappointed in product.

I read all the reviews and felt I made an informed decision. One said to spend about $100 more to get a better product which I did (the one I purchased). However...this machine is made for people with VERY long legs as I am average height (5'5") and the shortest length for the legs was still too far away. The disc that is suppose to be connected to the cycle at the pedal WILL NOT fit and just jostles/moves loose all around if you try to use it and there is NO WHERE in the directions that addresses anything at all about how to fix this!! I have been a loyal Wal-Mart shopper for many years and like I said read the reviews to make an informed decision....but boy, oh boy, this was NOT what I bargained for so to speak. I just wanted a reliable recumbent exercise bike to lose weight and now it is all put together and I cannot use it!!!!!!!! and it cost $300 !!! Very, very disappointed.

WILL BREAK ON YOU... Want YOU to pay for parts

Bought this in March 2012... Was broken out of the box but did not know until it was fully assembled... Tried to fix it myself as it was just a broken piece of plastic. Used it about 4 times and it seemed to work okay. I travel, so when I got around to using it again it was broke... again. Same problem.... fly wheel was locked up because the resistance bracket (item 45 in manual) fell apart. Looks to like a bad plastic molding.
Anyhow, called the customer service line and they want $32 (discounted for inconvenience) to send me the part. I understand the 90 day warranty but this problem is clearly a manufacturer defect and not consumer abuse. The part should be no cost to me in the first 5 months of owning this piece of junk. Spend the few extra bucks and buy a quality product...

Good for the money give you a great workout the only problem I have is that it works on batteries and you have to order a power cord if you prefer no barreries. I hope the discribtion of the bike would have said that other wise I would not have purchased that bike or I would have purchase the power cord at the same time.
