The American Tourister 5-Piece Luggage Set in black is the ideal set for those who travel frequently. The set includes five different bag sizes to provide for many kinds of trips - long business trips or short weekend stays. The advantage of having travel luggage sets in the same color scheme is that you will find it easy to identify the bags while travelling. This particular luggage set includes a boarding bag, carry-on upright bag, a 24-inch upright bag, a 28-inch expandable upright bag, and a garment carrier. These American Tourister bags in black are quite durable, as they are made from durable 1200 denier polyester fabric, which is known to be rougher. Maneuvering them is simple too. Each bag has retractable handles with push-button release mechanisms, making it easy to handle or carry. This five-piece luggage set has all the luggage solutions you will require, irrespective of the duration of your trip.

I had an American Tourister Luggage Set that I used HEAVILY for 10 years! It had literally been around the world and back a few times! So naturally I turned back to AT for a new set to replace my great old set. Well this set is super-flimsy and low quality.
The piggy-back option is only on the largest of all the suitcases... ie: you cannot piggyback the roll-aboard bag onto the smaller checked bag. The fabric does look very nice and durable but that is really the only parts that doesn't look and feel cheap. The zippers prior to first use already get stuck on strings and seams. On the biggest suitcase, one of the stoppers in front of the wheels, was missing a screw to hold it in place - I only realized that after taking this on my first trip and it was barely hanging on! I feel like a grandpa saying this... "they just don't make them like they used to"!
Unfortunately my first trip to use this luggage on is an extra long trip and I am still on it... I hope to return the luggage to Wal Mart for a full refund upon my return back to the US and look for a new set :(

The zippers are no good

The plastic zippers wouldn't zip properly around the corner of the luggage and would not stay closed.

This item was taken off the shelf, and it looked used. I refused pick up. There was dirt marks and scuffs all over it as well as dents. I am appalled that this is what they would give me.

American Tourister is a well known brand. I like that the fabric is 1200 D. instead of 600 like on most. It has inline wheels which I decided was okay because of the quality of this product. It looks good & has 5 pieces, which is probably more than I'll need. I'm anxious to try them out soon.

I haven't been able to travel with the whole set yet but I've used the largest one which had plenty of room for a two day stay for my two grandsons that went to Wisconsin with more room to put in more clothes if needed. I think I should have sent the next to largest but they had fun pulling the handles along with lifting the luggage up the stairs. I really love the nesting of the luggage which doesn't take up a lot of space in my closet.

Filled in store - merchandise was damaged

I ordered this luggage as a wedding gift, from a registry. When I went to pick it up the luggage had been filled from store inventory and was damaged. We checked for more on the shelf and the luggage on the shelf was worse that the one they had pulled. I refused the merchandise and decided to give the newlyweds money instead. This purchase was extremely disappointing.

Luggage is a good value for the price. It should serve our purpose. I was very dissapointed that ALL interior liningings were missing the zipper pulls. We had to be creative and add key ring hoops so that we could unzip for cleaning.

We bought this luggage for a trip to Europe. The luggage set looks good and appears to be pretty durable. We were sure we were getting a good deal since American Tourister is a brand name. However, the zipper on one of the pieces of luggage broke as I was picking it up off of the conveyer belt in the airport and my clothes fell out of the bag and onto the floor. It was embarrassing to say the least! I am very disappointed in this purchase. I would not recommend this luggage to my friends.

First I would like to say that Walmart is an A1 store. They have never refused a return, with or without a receipt. I previously owned this same set of luggage and was very happy with the durability and size. I purchased this same set the other day and am very pleased with everything with the exception of one detail...it has a horrible smell. I put it outside in the sun for a day and it seemed to have taken care of the problem. I am sure the smell was probably some sort of protectant and know I will be happy with this purchase as I was with my last set.
