The X-ACTO Model KS Table or Wall Mount Pencil Sharpener is an essential addition to schools, offices, and workspaces that require a lot of pencil work. This product is not as heavy duty as the old ones from school days years ago. It does sharpen the pencils, even if a bit off kilter. You have to turn the pencil to get the wood off all sides of the pencil point.

I bought one of these X-ACTO pencil sharpeners over 15 years ago when I was home schooling my kids. I didn't want an electric, or battery operated pencil sharpener, just wanted something that we could use anytime. It worked very good; it was being used every day sharpening a bunch of writing and drawing pencils. A few weeks ago the blades became dull, but I loved this pencil sharpner so much that I've purchased my second one. Now I'm still using it everyday to sharpen pencils. I will always use this product.

I am a teacher and after going through a lot of electric pencil sharpeners rather quickly I decided to buy this one. So far it is performing well - gives a nice sharp point on the pencils without much effort. My only criticism is that it was a little tricky for me to install. In order to get the screws to go in I had to remove the handle. Not very difficult but still you would think they could design it to make for an easier installation. All in all I'm very satisfied and think it will outlast the electric sharpeners.

I got this Sharpener for my Girls since they love being creative and draw most of the time, as well as for doing homework. It has come in very handy! It is a whole lot better than any hand held sharpener which can be messy. I Love IT!

We are a large homeschooling family, and put pencil sharpeners to good use! We've been unable to find an electric pencil sharpener that would last more than 3 months, no matter how top of the line we purchased. The issue was a major frustration to say the least! We even tried to go with the push lead auto pencils for awhile - those didn't go over so great either! After 10 years of homeschooling, we finally had a, "Duh!" moment, and decided to look online for a manual sharpener! They're not sold in stores these days that we've been able to find "0) This little sharpener was a great price with good reviews, a no brainer. We ordered site to store, and the item arrived at the store the next day! Our DD sharpened our entire (HUGE) collection of colored pencils for over half an hour until she got a blister - who knew a manual pencil sharpener could be so much fun, ha ha! It's a nice solid, well built tool and works great! Lovely, lovely sharp points "0) Can't believe I'm gushing over a pencil sharpener, but it's just a lifesaver around here. Plus it brings me back to my own grade school days - waiting in line to sharpen a pencil! If your're thinking about the purchase, do it. Sincerely, relieved homeschool mom~

This pencil sharpener is just what I was looking for. It easily mounts to my desk, and sharpens pencil in seconds with a fine sharp tip. No batteries need. Easy for the kids to use and it has different sharpeners for different size pencils. All at a great price. No more electric pencil sharpener for this family.

This sharpener works much better than the small regular electric one I had. Overall, it works pretty well, but it when you sharpen a pencil, its doesn't go smoothly like my old boston standard sharpener- it has some odd resistance- but it gets the job done. I like that it also has adjustable sizes.

Bought this pencil sharpener due to it's ability to sharpen pencils of varying diameters. Seems to perform well so far, easy to sharpen all my pencils. It's a study, quality product and cheaper than those electric sharpeners that only do one size.

I was getting so tired of our electric pencil sharpener that never worked. This thing is a dream. It is so sharp and I love that you can change it to sharpen a variety of sized pencils. The only challenge is getting the led unstuck if it breaks off in the sharpener. Great product.

X-ACTO is a name I trust. I am mostly familar with their knives. When I saw this sharpener made by them I knew it would do the job.
it was simple to put it up on me wall. Even the screws were of good quality. It sharpens my pencils quickly and efficiently. The sharpener itself is sturdy and well made. One of the best features is having the choice of sharpening four different sized pencils.
I highly recommend this product.
