Scosche Dual USB Car Charger For GPS

I own a Garmin Nuvi 205 and had left the 12V. cord in a hotel room after checking out. I bought this Kit by Schosche @ a WalMart. It came with not only the Garmin adapter on the USB cord but adapters for Tom Tom & Megellan also. The 12V. cigarrette adapter plug has 2 USB inlets to plug a USB cable into it and the other end of the USB cord plugs into the GPS. This gives you a spare USB plug in for other items that might be compatabile( Ipod Tablet etc...) One difference i noticed was the OEM Garmin plug was a 90 degree plug into the GPS The Scosche is a straight plug into the GPS and also has a 90 degree adapter so you can choose which type you prefer,to me the Scosche plug is better quality than the original Garmin plug which did not have the USB capability and the Scosche has a very tight fit into the GPS.The handy thing is you can unplug the USB cable from the 12V. cigarrette lighter adapter and then plug it into the USB port of a PC or Laptop to sync, download updates or charge the GPS, Garmin makes you buy the USB cord seperately. The USB cord also has the cylindrical traffic update receiver built into the cord so you can get traffic updates, speed limit info and other trafffic info. Ocassionally when you plug it into the car it will act like you just plugged it into your PC This has happened only 1 time since I've owned it, I just unplugged the USB cable from the 12V adapter and plugged it back in and it fired right up. This has only happened once and was not a big deal. This is in my opinion much better quality than the OEM Garmin plug and I would reccomend it to anyone needing a new cord for any of the 3 GPS's listed. Well worth the $24.88 I paid and now i have a car power plug and also a USB plug to connect it to my PC for downloading accesories from places like Garmin/Garage to get new vehicle profiles or map updates. The 12V. adapter has a small Blue LED that lights up to let you know that power is going to the plug, it is very easy on the eyes at night and actually looks pretty cool. 5 Stars all the way around. You won't be disappointed.
