This sharpener is very good when one considers the cost. While not meant to replace the sharpening stone, it does do an acceptable job of sharpening a knife for someone who doesn't want to spend a lot of money for a more expensive & theoretically better sharpener. It's also great to keep in the kitchen draw for a quick sharpening of a recently dulled knife. I would recommend this to a friend.

This is exactly what I needed to revive the edge on my old knives. Even worked great on my penknife!
Not for use on serrated blades or scissors, but will do the job on good steel knives.

Works really well at sharpening knives. The handle makes it easier to control when sharpening knives. I have two knives that I use almost everyday for cutting meat and vegetables, so using this is a must. After two years the knives are still sharp from using this, which is perfect! Plus I love that you have two options for sharpening, one for coarse and one for fine. The sharpener is very durable too, 2 years and still in excellent condition.
