Review 2 for Gold's Gym 110-lb. Olympic Barbell Weight Set
Wow nice comfortable bar that holds the weights. Most bars tend to slip the weights right off without clamps.. They include clamps but better yet made it where the weights don't shift but easily slide on! Also was skeptical about three piece bar. Its easily put together and firm as steel... I like it better then the regular bar because I use the middle bulge as extra guide for hand placement.

Review 4 for Gold's Gym 110-lb. Olympic Barbell Weight Set
The weights that come with this bar aren't bad, but the bar itself isint all that great. The pins that you have to put in it are hard to line up right and fit. Also, the bar is not totally straight. The paint on it comes off very easily. I would say this would be good if someone wasn't planning on using a lot of weight with it or for a lot of use.

Spend the extra $50 on a better bar you will appreciate it down the road. I've constantly had to re-insert bolts as they become loose at least once a month. Bar bends with 150+ pounds on it.

Review 8 for Gold's Gym 110-lb. Olympic Barbell Weight Set
Good set to start with, been suing it for about 3 weeks. No chips, clamps seem to be very strong and weights are accurate. (You would be surprised how many are not). Male sure you line up the bar well before you insert holding pins to put the bar together. It seems like it could be hard, but it is real simple to put together. I do recommend that you buy some extra weights, as this set only provides 110 lbs. bar is 30lbs. 2x25s,2x10s,2x5s. Overall great set, very satisfied.

I went to walmart and 2 more 25lb plates right away, since it doesn't come with much weight. Three out of four pins went in easily, i had to use a skinny screw driver to pull the last one into place to get it to work, still was very difficult. Overall this is a great set for working out

Excellent for a starter weight set. Bar not real sturdy though, will have to replace it after a few months continued use.

Great for the price

I can't seriously fault this product because of how cheap it is and the price of delivery being so low. However I think there are some things that people should be aware of when buying. As other people have said, the 3-part bar is the main (only in my view) problem with this product. Putting it together requires a metal hammer. As such, the ends of the pins become a bit worn, so you can have jagged bits of metal on your bar - not good. The pins are about 18 inches apart, so if you have a moderately close grip then you could end up cutting yourself, or holding the smooth center part of the bar where you'll get no grip at all.
If I were looking for a set of weights again then I would buy the CAP 6' olympic bar ($64) and some of the Gold's Gym weight plates ($40 for 50lbs). It's a little more expensive but far better for a beginner's set. I would do this since when I upgrade my gear I want to keep the olympic plates, if you're not worried about this then I'd get a standard 1" bar and some 1" plates, it's even cheaper. In summary though, this product is decent for the price and usable, you'll just have to work around the bar. Happy lifting.

My product is great. It was for my 17yr old 270lb and 6ft football playing son. It is an excellent starter package. It is meeting his needs except of course I had to get more weight.

It was easy to put together and it gets the job done my only complaint is that the bar looked like it was used I don't know if that's how it was supposed to look or I if got a bar that was returned but either way I am happy.

Review 17 for Gold's Gym 110-lb. Olympic Barbell Weight Set
the product is great! the delivery was timely, however, this was purchased as a Christmas gift. The package arrived on my doorstep (as I was working). Luckily my boyfriend gets off work later than I do, because the item arrived in its manufacturing packaging. It would have been nice if the package was put into a plain box or wrapped in the brown packing paper. Other than that, I am COMPLETELY satisfied!

Review 18 for Gold's Gym 110-lb. Olympic Barbell Weight Set
I bought set this for my son hoping that it would be a good starter set that he could use and add weights to for many years. Overall, I'm impressed. The weights were as expected, and with Gold's Gym branding, who can beat that? I was hesitant about purchasing a three-piece bar. You must pound in 2 pins on each connection point. The first two went in perfectly. The third was out of of alignment. So, I pounded the fourth in and then got out my electric drill to open the whole wide enough to allow the third pin to be pounded in. Once assembled, the bar is solid and I have no reservations that this set will work as desired for my son. I would have given 5 stars if assembly had not required product modification with my electric drill.

This is a good starter set. It takes a little effort to put the bar together with those pins, but once in place it's solid. The bar is pretty long. I like the weight plates with the famous Gold's Gym logo and I like grab handles. All-in-all this is a good buy and I recommend it.

Review 20 for Gold's Gym 110-lb. Olympic Barbell Weight Set
Good workout set

If your looking to do any workout over 200lbs this isn't the bar you need, but I do lighter weight with more repetition, so this bar and weights workout great for the price. Much better than plastic weights. The pins to connect the bars together aren't real easy to put in but a good metal hammer, not rubber, works well. Be careful and assemble outside, the pins while beating them in leave some little metal shards. All in all, not a bad set.
