I am really satisfied with my new electric fireplace. a very nice, sturdy piece of furniture. mine works great. very quiet too. the remote also comes in handy. the color does have a reddish tint to it almost like a chestnut shade but i still like it.

I was very disappointed with this fireplace. The fire effect is sooooo weak that you don't even know it is on, you have to be in the dark just to see a small light !!!! I am not going to keep it !!

This is the 2nd electric fireplace we have purchased through Walmart.com. We bought the first one for our living room and then decided we wanted a second one for the family room. We don't use it has heat, but for the essence of a fire going in the fireplace. I would highly recommend this fireplace to other customers.

It has a nice big firebox and it came assembled. It looks and works great. One of the light sockets was broke, so we had to call Dimplex, but they sent one out right away. The flame is not adjustable and is not as bright as our old one, but we really like the overall product. We would buy it again.

I pulled this out of the back of my truck, took off the box, carried it up four steps and placed it in the living room. I should have had help, but being a single mom, I did it. There wasn't any set-up. It runs extremely quiet with actually no sound what-so-ever. My humidifier that sits next to it is 100% louder. The only thing I'm so disappointed about is the color is not what I thought. It could be my ignorance, however. That's why I didn't place this negative rating in my over-all scoring. The color is really a more of a red wood instead of brown like the rest of my furniture. Golden oak I guess means red oak. A more of a yellowish tent would have matched my living room better.

I love the Dimplex 36" compact electric fireplace. I do not have a complaint. I did read a review where someone said their's made an awful noise. Just a suggestion to further customers. Mine made a loud blower noise, louder the higher the thermostat "setting". I was prepared to live with it because I otherwise love it and don't really need it for heat. Well to correct the noise, my husband put a piece of cardboard just under the "apron" to level it and the noise stopped. Cardboard not noticable or in danger of catching fire. Floor has sunk a little toward the middle of the room causing it to unbalance the unit. I love my fireplace and my husband. Quiet, romantic, and comforting.
