Basically it's a pretty good product. It is easy to open with one hand, but can be locked so that young hands can't open it. However, the wide span (which is perfect for large openings), is pretty flimsy when extended to it's full width. The entire span will sway and give when any type of pressure is placed on it. It just doesn't feel very strong at all.

I bought a gate before this one, but it did not work for me at all. This one is perfect. I have a 13 month old that I needed to keep out of the kitchen. I ended up having to use 2 of the 3 extentions that it comes with. If I don't put the handle down and lock it in place, my baby will open it and walk on in. It does lock though, so it works to keep her out. It looks nice, is affordable, and it's pressure-mounted.

The unit is exactly as described. When stretched it become pretty flimsy but I added some 2x4 to each side and it helped make it sturdy.

I purchased this gate after looking at other gates on line, this one was not as expensive as the others and it serves the purpose for my use, which is keeping my little Maltese out of my living room. My living room entry way is wide and after attaching the extensions and adjusting the pressure mount hardware , it was the perfect fit for my entryway. Also very easy to install. The opening to the gate is not very wide, and this is the only reason i gave it 4 stars and not 5.

I bought this gate for my granddaughter and for my great granddaughter's first birthday. I researched this item on-line because it wasn't available to inspect at any of the retailer's I was able to shop at. I did check out all the gates that were available at these retailers. None had the dimensions I was looking for. I wanted a strong, durable gate with easy access through it and this gate came through with flying colors. This gate is metal and came with three extensions that I needed to use to block off the area between the kitchen and living room and have a walk through locking swing-gate. The instructions were good and assembly went smooth. I especially liked the screw into the wall plastic cups that the adjusters fit snugly into. No chance of gate sliding or being pushed or pulled away from the walls. My granddaughter is just so very pleased with this gate and my great granddaughter, after a few tornado-like episodes with the gate has excepted it's strength of character...for now. Another plus feature of this gate, is that you can remove and reinstall in minutes.

Walmart needs to review the description on this gate. We purchased this gate because the description said it came with a 4 inch, 6 inch and 12 inch extensions. We based this purchase on those measurements. We received a gate with 6inch, 8 inch and 12 inch extensions. Needless to say, it's too wide. Now more of my time is wasted having to return this after waiting 10 days for it to be delivered using site-to-store in the first place. Not happy.

It is a piece of junk ,especially I ordered longer gate which is assembled from few pieces and is so flimsy and unstable that I returned it next day ,very bad construction and also opens only to one side and lock is too much ,save you some time and get "dream baby" brand - very nice and solid

The gate looks very nice when in place. It is quite capable of keeping our dogs in one section of the house. We will soon have a new little baby boy, so when he gets old enough to navigate on his own, the gate can help to keep him out of danger when we need to work in the kitchen. The gate's "door" is a plus because my pregnant wife can easily open it to go to another room. This gate is perfect for wider doorways.

My son did pull this gate down on top of him the first day we had it up. It serves it's purpose if you get it tight enough. It's just hard to find a firm gate for wide areas, this will work, just not perfect.

We needed a pretty wide gate and didn't want to spend $100+. This one works and my husband was able to put it up on his own. It doesn't seem incredibly sturdy though. If my 4 year old yanked on it hard enough I think he could bend it or move it.

This gate is perfect. I needed a extra wide gate making it a challenge to find one at a retail store or even on-line. Among the gates I did find, this was the best for the price. It was exactly what I was looking for. It will take two people to set it up, however it was easy and had it up within ten minutes. I would recommend this product to anyone and would purchase it again if I had a need. If you haven't ever used the Walmart order on-line program, it is easy. Order on-line and have your order ship to your local Walmart store at no charge.....Melanie, Euless, TX
